Another Utena wall from me ^___^

I started this wall some time ago but because of my job I could only work on the weekend on it. I always wanted to make a wall from this scan but I had to learn first how to use the pen tool and to vector with shapes.

Original scan

I'm satisfied with the result because I did what I can do and put all my heart in this wall. I had to started again sometimes but I think it was worth it.
After vectoring the characters I painted them, added a texture and added the light effect on the sword. I think it looks much better this way. Before that the wall was a bit empty in my opinion.

Time neaded: ~ 4 weeks (but only the weekend)
Layers: ~200 (yeah, I know but I added a new layer for everything I did)
Textures: Deviantart
Brushes: http://www.brusheezy.com/brushes
Music: Bon Jovi!!!!

I have to agree with the Deto15, his vector was very cool, I love this anime, although the story is a little conturbada, crazy, with that story of a castle that is the tip head in the sky and also one of history's brazões pink and the future be the final opocalipse ... Simplismente but I loved this series, this wallpaper is perfect! The Anthy and Utena are well vetorizadas and colors have a touch peculiar and very different to his final work, continue well, with excellent work!

Good to see more Utena wallpapers, good job you made of it as well.I think the work you did on the texture of the background works very nice and the light effect gives it a cool look but I think you should have chosen a different colour for the background, other than that I think it works very nicely, it looks as it it took you some time to complete. Anyways very nice.

i love the textures you used and just one thing that bothers me is the color of the BG maybe you should make it with another color that fits with the colors of the wall other than that your wallpaper is really great Voicy n_n

Yay! a Shoujo Kakumei Utena wallpaper! And an image whose physical impossibility has always bedazzled me too! This underrated series is not represented anywhere near enough on this site.

I think you are doing very well with walling. I can see why the light effect must have been a necessary addition. Whilst overall I still prefer the origimal image as a wallpaper itself, the vectoring is praiseworthy. I normally find vectoring degrade the artistic air of an image, but it is an exception here because the original was somewhat pop art anyway. And that is why, I think, the texturing spoils it. In any case, the colour of the background, I find, to be a rather strange choice, though it does emulate a rock painting. But in this case the colours of Utena and Anthy would be uncomplementarily bright.

I am just happy to see a wallpaper for this series at all ^o^

Vector is very nice, I love their hair.
Only thing I would prefer different is the brown background colour to something lighter and not so.. brown. ^^ Nicejob!

This wall has a touch of art nouveau, especially the hair of the girl on the left side. You don't get to see wall like this everyday. The vector is great and it's your first vector too O_O
The light effect is nicely done too. If there's one thing that's bothering me is the brown background, maybe it's a bit too dark. I agree with brown as background but maybe you can make it more lighter so the wall don't look so... umm... burnt? (Not sure, but to me it looked burned out)

OOHHH very nice. That is one of my favorite images from Utena and you made it look even better! You have nice vectoring skills and I liked how the colors you used work so well together when you think they wouldn't. It's a talent to make that color of brown look good. *favs*
