Please full-view! Widescreen is preferred, although standard looks nice, too! Thanks! And yes, finally a new wallpaper. :3 It was kind of a spur the moment type one as well. I wasn't planning on walling for a while, thanks to being busy with school and crap like that...plus, I've just been lazy and anti-walling lately. ^^; BUT! Upon watching some Amatsuki and then perusing the scans here, well, I found a lot I wanted to wall. XD I became inspired! Especially with this one of Bonten. ♥

So first I extracted him, which was actually harder than it may seem! Who cares if the whole bg is just white? DX I had to go around those edges like nobody's business, and his hair and lip/ear piercing chain thing was a pain as well. Ugh, and those wings, too. So yeah, extracting took a while. And at first, I thought the scan was really great-looking, but then upon downloading it, well, no. The quality sucks pretty bad. The scan's texture was heavy...and everything has this watercolor painted look, which you can still see. So to cover things up, I made this a texture-fun wallpaper. Dark, grungy, Hellish.
For the bg, I started out with some sky photos that I actually took. You can see them on my DA. But then...well, you can't really tell they're there anymore, huh? ^^; Cause I used so many textures, gradients, brushes, etc. to make the bg all dark and like...well, like a gloomy and rocky mountainside. I copied and pasted parts of the rock he's sitting on and placed them to the side as well, changing their colors and erasing parts away. And yeah, lots of gradients again! I totally changed his colors~ I love this color combination. XD
So yeah, I'm glad I made this! I like it, so I hope you do, too. :3 Comments/faves much appreciated!

edit: I edited some minor things that were brought up, like his hair being too jaggedy and sharp compared to the rest, so I blurred parts and covered more with the fog. :3 And I also fixed some slightly noticeable poor extraction parts on his wings. ^_^

This is absolutely gorgeous.I adore the textures, soft smokey like mist and the concept, they are well executed. I think the colors are very graceful and befitting of Bonten, he would desire nothing less, lol. It's an astounding wallpaper and very refreshing to look at, I'm absolutely mesmerized by your work and have no complaints what so ever. Thank you for making my desktop look stylish and sophisticated. Bonten would be proud, lol! A+ & Faved!
