As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Yep - the background is too realistic for the wallpaper and thus there's no proper blending. I can't see the main idea in here either - but the quality of the fore- and background are good. Just try to change the style of the background to suit the anime-ish foreground better.

Light hiding her details make her be a starring in the darkness.Althougn simple colors in the background is not heavy, they are flowing graceful atmosphere in the wallpaper. Their - light and darkness - combination is well-match for each other.

I really like the background a lot. Especially because it's so dark and grungy and creates a nice contrast to her white dress.^^

The background doesn't seem to fit too well with Remillia. The umbrella too.
The umbrella is meant for Yukari~ I like the Remillia vector though...
