I hope this is ok, I really don't want to edit this further because my poor, poor computer is lagging so much, I think it's telling me its final words :(

There are tons of layers in there...if you want an estimate, I have about 50 flowers and each of them are on separate layers...and 28 grass blades too...and that's only the trail behind Ammy...T_T

BUT this is Okami after all, the best game ever...so I think it's well worth the effort :)

This is a big vector job basically, everything in there is vectored...yeah okay I'll save the ranting in a spoiler...

I got inspiration from some newspaper advertisement for a shopping centre. Then I "okami-rised" it with Japanese patterns from here. After vectoring the patterns, my computer was already lagging. But anyway it wasn't that bad yet. I grabbed screencaps from ign.com and used them on the white swirl. This swirl is supposed to signify Ammy's journey...but unfortunately it's all blocked :(

Then I added in a vector of Ammy. Not your typical Ammy image I would say, I used the one that resembles in-game graphics more. Anyway this is the best vector of Ammy I have done, so I'm pretty happy about it. Of course Okami wouldn't be complete without Issun, so I put him in (and vectored him! @~1@)

Then came the trail of flowers ("trailblazer"). Of which my poor computer was going to die after that. Actually the flowers are just 3 patterns, cloned and flipped and colour changed...but well...

THEN came the white swirl. Actually it was a swirl of flowers but it looked so ugly that I changed it.

I wanted to use a scenic background actually, with the circle thing below as green colour, to signify the ground, and mountains and clouds, but it looked soo wrong that I went and trawled through my Okami artbook again, and saw a postcard with a gold swirl background, so I tried to replicate that. The swirl was vectored from there, the rest is just brushwork/gradient/cloud filters, and a texture from stock xchng. I changed the ground circles to a gold colour to fit in.

The background was too empty, so I grabbed my old Okami sun vector. And added in sun rays. This is my first successful sun ray attempt, can you believe it -.-

At this point my computer was lagging really, really, really bad. But I knew that Okami wasn't Okami without the sakura petals flying around, so I vectored them. And to complete the sparkle, I used a brush...of which I can't remember where I got it from :(

I really hope this is okay. Seriously. Opening the file takes an eternity. So basically I spent half a year on this, it's kind of on and off, because I had a lot of projects and exams, and I just ended exams yesterday, so today I spent the whole day doing it up. I wanted to do widescreen but...honestly, I don't know how (*shocker*).

*crosses fingers* I don't want to open this file ever again! :X
