Kara no Kyokai...*speechless*...I think it is one of the best animes ever made, so I dedicate this wall to the upcoming episode, "Kara no KyoKai VI: 忘却録音".

My wall is based on "test"'s awesome scan:

My original plan was to vectorize the scan as-is, add a shinto shrine and 2 sakura trees to the BG and finish with the GoS Typeface...However, as I was vectorizing the scan, I asked myself, "hey, what would she look like in B&W?"...so, I applied a B&W filter, boosted Cyan and Magenta, and the result? Well...let's just say that I loved the result so much that I decided to completely overhaul my original plan, and make a completely B&W wallpaper...(my first one ever~)

I have never vectored in B&W before, so creating shadows and deciding on the right color balance took me a while to get a hold of...but afterwards the process was quite pleasant...as opposed to 255^255 colors to consider, now I only have 255, which actually made color selection a bit easier...

The hardest part in this project must be the hairs...since I do not have a tablet, I have to use my mouse to make bezier curves and then stroke them with the brush...the lesson: DO NOT try to make hair strands with a mouse...get a tablet...>_>

I was going to add the shinto shrine and the sakura trees to make the wallpaper more complex, but then I realized one thing: I wallpaper is supposed to be clean, simple and unobtrusive, thus I decided to make this wall elegant and practical, so it could say on my desktop for a long time...
(NOTE: I personally love complex and vibrant wallpapers, but they often blend with the desktop icons, making using the desktop difficult...)
