So to start off you are probably wondering wth this is, well you are not alone because I don’t know either. xD That aside lets get on with the “good part.”
So if you couldn’t tell already this wall is heavily influenced by the Ergo Proxy op I just loved the unique grunge style it had and I just plain like dark grungy walls. That said it was an obvious choice for me to go with grunge. I was stuck on this wall at the start in fact I have been stuck with all things artistic since like the beginning of the year. >< Good news though, I found my creativity and inspiration again; the bad news is that it was right as I finished this wall T_T Anyway, when I started I was working with a Kurau scan then, I switched to Cowboy Bebop, then I switched again to Blood+, and finally I switched one last time to a screen cap of Blood+ that I thought fit the song real well. (side note: I LOVE the song for this round lol)
So how does the song relate to the wall? Good question one I cant completely put into words being the emo kid I am :P Its more of a feeling then um idea..or um ….I have no clue what I am saying >.> Anyway! I love the song and I knew I wanted to do something dramatic and moody to go along with it. So after working on all my different versions this one of Saya was perfect. The song instantly made me picture someone floating and the look on Saya’s face totally completed my vision and the feeling I got while listening to the song. Thus you all see what is before you. xD
Having never vectored a screen cap before it was quite a learning experience. The cap of Saya came from the beautiful op of Blood+. ( I have a thing for opening sequences xD ) Basically it all came together from there. I combined the style of the Ergo Proxy op, my vector of Saya, and a little bit of my own style. Making the grunge part was nuts >< yeah it might not look like that much work, but it sure as hell was. Each of the vertical lines was done by hand and I made many of the brushes myself to get just the right look. The grunge along the bottom alone took 15+ brushes. So yeah it was crazy and I won’t be doing that again anytime soon. In the end I still can’t decide whether I like this wall or not. This wall was very experimental but I was way too tired of starting over so I just stuck with it to the end. Anyway, I hope you all enjoy it or something…yeah lol have fun xD
Side note: as shinn pointed out this may be a bit dark :/ as I am still adjusting my new super ultra bright LCD monitor ._.
Side note 2: The alchemy symbols are also in the ergo proxy opening and are found in lots of things besides FMA -__-
