The original text covered image came from a Newtype, so I re-lined and recolored the entire thing. The scene in the first episode where the glass breaks and "Proxy" comes in was awesome, so I went with that idea for the scene. Overall I wanted a clean look, where the style of the image spoke for itself. The faded text in the background (though it can't be read) was from the saying at the beginning of episode one.
