Since you use the dark background with the church image, I think the wallpaper gives people a feeling sad. However, the wallpaper is welldone. I like how you put the background, it makes like Mai is fading in the shadow.

Not bad at all for a first. The extraction is nice and clean, and the blending is pretty good. Text fits I suppose, even though the overlay on the image seems rather awkward. I woould work on blending the text more cause it stands out too much. The church image in the background feels kind of weird- I don't know if it works or not, maybe it's just a preference thing. This wall doesn't stand otu as being particularly special, but you kept it clean and smooth, which means you are on the right track.

Thats just everyone's favorite font, isnt it? Nice background although the lighting on the scan is a little wierd. But good work working it in.

Thats pretty nice, great colors and I always like having the character on the right, cuz I, like most people, have thier icons on the left, and don't want to block the image. but I think the text is too distracting, and looks out of place.
