As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. *hums happy song* Yes I was quite cheerful while making this...

Eh, this is for Gideon's Deck o' Cards project and... I should have worked with a red card, but since I like spades and the black and red combo... Yeah... Sort of a quickie and simple idea, but seeing as I'm so damn noob, it took longer than I thought. In case you're wondering the only brushes used were for the splotch of blood. The background is the same happy duplicating and blending I do in like... Everything.

My inspiration was my brother's cheap 99 cent deck of crap cards and its oh so interesting patterns and array of colors and .. yeah I'll shut up and sleep now.

Oh and Lucy WAS naked, but then I had bandages placed on her and what looks like leather straps, but the blood and darkness covers her up even more so.. guh *runs away*

Damn it looks really good - I love it!
Love the pile of cards fx - look almost touchable. The main image is a bit small but still very well done like always. I really like your duplicate blending technique, looks awesome, I have to try your tute properly one day :)

Prolly could do without the transparent hollow spades on the inner corners of the cards. The outer glow on the hair looks almost like unclean extraction *cough* - lol! Love the bandages and blood splatters - phoenix at her best :)

Congrats - it's really nice one! ^^

Wow definately the queen of hearts here, lucy that is. love the gothic style bg of yours, and i think it match the card and the scan well together with the colour scheme. nice job on the bandages and the blood splatters hehe, the bandages looks well with the blood coverings, :p and they covered up lucy's body nicely. some problems though, noticed some jagged edges at the left sides on the 2 cards below. the bg was plain, but it brings out the theme and stressed on lucy well.

incredibly original, the idea rules 10/10, id even give it 12/10
well executed, but yea reversedges right, those cards have some evil toothed edges
simple and still very strong
captures lucys dark inner world and two personalities
the idea is worth gold
this wall is an icon for an EL fan like me

That's one really good idea for a wallpaper and I really like how you put the card against a black background. That way it doesn't take away from the coolness of the card itself. And I do like that she is the queen of spades, it fits her much better than any other card. I just read a story called "Queen of Spades" and the title sure could fit Lucy!

have seen some EP of this anime, and this wall really show what a wird anime it's, i don't meen that the wall is not great, no, but it's fit the anime type... -_-...
