Silent Jealousy
Hi folks. I finally managed to get back to doing stuff I like (school is over). We in my fansubbing group needed a Strawberry Panic image for some sort of thing (secret yet).
Since there were no scans I particularly intended to use, I decided to pick a scene from an episode and vector trace it. What I forgot, was something I discovered later: the raw (source) of that episode was just average NTSC resolution (720x480 or even less). That meant: all details, that must appear in a vector trace, are made by me.
The only problem I had was that I am very bad at drawing freehand or even using some drawing program such as Illustrator. Therefore please excuse some of the details - I am really no good at drawing them. However, I really enjoyed working on this wallpaper.
The background is taken from http://www.sxc.hu.
I used Adobe Illustrator CS2 for the vector work and Photoshop CS2 for the work on the composition as well as what I call "aftertouche". It took me about 3 days of work and about 4-6h each day.
I hope you like it. It didn't fully turn out as I wanted it to be; but I am pretty satisfied with the result.
Enjoy another Strawberry Panic wallpaper!
P.S.: The series is great - except for the new ending ;_; (which sucks terribly)
edit: the original http://img92.imageshack.us/img92/4687/tempaoixtamao3ri.jpg is pretty low-res if you want to compare. Also: I liked to do the details such as the patterns on the clothes (which aren't there in the original).
edit2: I decided to put shadows on the vector traces in order to blend them (a lot) better with the background. Hope you like it.
