The important part of this wall is symbolizm. I'll try and explain it here for the ones who doesn't want to make it up by themselves.
First we have the scan itself and Rei's pose, to me that really reflects her character. Dark and not too personal since she's hiding her face.
Second, the wings. I made those after first trying a stock but I think this was better, yet not perfect, but I need wings for this => Wings on a human body usually tells us that what we are seeing is in fact an angel. And isn't that kinda what she is in the series? To me she is, anyway. The lone feather (black one) in the water show that even in light there is dark, meaning, everything is not perfect in this world.
The blood came very easily since there is just a shit load of it in the series and a Rei covered in blood isn't really that strange XD But it also represents pain, and pain combined with an angel gives me the conclusion that the world is somehow crying.
Now for the clouds. Three clouds above her head? What does that tell you? If you guessed "Triune" then ten points for you! If you don't know what "Triune" is then look it up!
The background was really improvised since I remembered some scenes from the last few eps of the series with some desert sea with irregular things in it, but I couldn't look it up since I didn't have the DVDs at the time I made this. So some crazy rock and a city had to do. But there is symbolizm there aswell! On one side of her there is highly evolved society and on the other there is "the beginning of the world". And that kinda is the question in the series will the world be recreaked as it was (with a few chages?) or wll it start from the "beginning"?
Now if you read all this you must either really like this wall, have nothing else to do or you like reading. As you might have noticed I like typing :P
