I made the first draft of this wallpaper back in November of 2005, and just let it sit without finishing it. After finding this site I regained my motivation and began work on it again. I spent around 6 hours on it last night, and got some good feedback for what to change and do. Thanks everyone for their feedback.

When deciding to make this wallpaper I was getting fed up of not being able to find any high-res, high quality Berserk wallpapers. So I made my own. The image that inspired this is actually the cover of volume 28 of Berserk. I loved the moon, but the cover only had a portion of the moon. So, I decided to replace the moon with a more realistic one. The image really captured the animal fury that Gatts has when he's in that berserker state in that armor, and I wanted my wallpaper to make him seem more animal like as well.

The cape was hard to extract so I just cut it out, and then used photoshop to re-draw the fringes of the ends using a wacom tablet. I also extended the cape more for a dramatic look. Much like how in Spawn, his cape is much larger than it needs to be. It's just there to look dramatic or "cool."

EDIT 10/8/2007: I changed some features of the moon to make it fit the image better. I'm still not satisfid with it, but I need to move on to another project. It's been too long since I made a wallpaper...
