Kyaaa the ghost of Rei >o< The scan of Rei you decided to use makes her look like a ghost in this wallpaper o.O And especially how you've portrayed her as well! You can see her in the reflection of the window, love the idea ;) A good background for this scan, nice concept :D I like that little photo frame too ^^

This was a really good idea for a wall, I like how rei is standing outside and it makes me want to open the window and bring her in :( the window frame and wallpaper look realistic and the picture was a nice touch.

My first thought, a home where, presumably, Shinji once lived happily with his mother, with Rei at the window looking in, was one I rather liked. As if Rei were looking in at Shinji's memories with envy, because even Shinji's had a better life than her - a normal life, for a time at least. And Rei stands in the dark, and the cold, and (I think) the rain just to look into this house.

But now I've I noticed the bushes outside can be seen through Rei's body, and must conclude she is some sort of spirit thing. And I don't know what to make of that. I suppose she could still be envying Shinji's life in spirit form, but I'm not sure what purpose her being a spirit serves - why you chose that over her really being there. Except maybe to portray the regretful longing of a Rei who has passed, rather than a Rei who still lives to have hope, futile though it may be. Though of the two I rather prefer the latter.

Oh well. Still a great thought-provoking combination of images.
