I was planning to make a wall with this scan for a while.
As many of you probably know, one of my (many) weak spots
are girls in kimono ^_^''
If you're a girl (preferably cute) and you want to insult,
punch or kick me all that you need is to wear a kimono
and I'll stare at you with eyes full of admiration.
Ehm, now that everyone know this terrible secret,
I can go on with my description.
I must admitt that I really like the way Mizuki Kawashita
draws the girls of Ichigo 100% so it was a pleasure to
work with this lovely scan of Aya.
I think that if I have to use one word to descibe this wall
I would chose "traditional".
Traditional because the composition isn't original (character
on the right and a boring background, what a clichè...) and
traditional because I tried to use typical elements from
the japanese tradition (like the fans and the bamboo canes).
After the scan extraction I started to work on the background.
I used two stocks photos of the fans and I worked on their
position in the wall.
Then I added a bamboo canes background behind them and I started
to play with the light to add a more scenic effect.
The last step was adding the textures to obtain the old effect
that I like a lot :3
Thanks to Kyendo, Kalico, Gat and Blu3angl of the Crimson Orchestra
for their help and for their tips ;)
And a big thanks to Marujoreinu for helping me with the wall's title,
I really suck at giving good titles to my walls so thanks for your
help, Maru ^_^
That's all, please leave a comment if you like my work ;)
