Not too much for me to say about this wallpaper that hasn't already been said: Dalarty has provided a descriptive walk through all the way from the concept idea, to its execution and ultimately its fruition. And you can really see how that careful planning paid off. But it just goes to show, good ideas take time---and a whole lot of patience!
I would of vectored the character, and I feel the BG of the factory or whatever that thing was on the show could of looked better withought beeing blurry but I liekd everything else
Like the whole scheme.. but the lettering below doesn't seem to fit and the hazy look doesn't too.. But overall, it's interesting and I really like the look :) Good JOb. :D
I like the concept really much, not much collour and very dramatic.
But I join the rest of the comments...why a blurry character? The blurry background makes sense, but now the wall is a bit annoying to use, cause your eyes keep staring at that blurry party and it gives me and headache =P
That's such a shame, because this wall would be really great...
But none the less... Great job!

This wallpaper definetly has an interesting idea behind it, but it wasn't as well executed as it could've been. The black and white themed wallpaper works very well to Naota-kun and makes the whole "nothing amazing ever happens here" thing seem like the appropriate theme beacause evrything seems so plain, but I do think there are a few things that could've been done to make the wallpaper better.
First of all, the entire wallpaper is a little too blurry for my liking. I think it reall detracts a lot of quality from the overall design. Maybe a zoom blur or just blurring the Medical Mechanica in the background would have made a nicer effect and made the entire wallpaper come together a little bit better. If only Medical Mechanica was blurred it might look almost like a camera pan across the terrain with Naota standing in the pose with that shot of the the factory in the background. I think that would have been a lot better for the entire wallpaper.
The other thing I siggest could have been done would be to maybe try and color in Naota's guitar. That might have made a contrast to the whole "nothing amazing ever happens here" because that's realy what happened in the series. Everything amazing happened and I think just that little bit of color would have made an interesting piece of the wallpaper to somewhat make the theme like a lie.
Other than that, this was a very nice wallpaper concept and it comes together very nicely. Definetly a job worth noting.
I think the idea behind the wall is pretty sweet and the blurring works particularly well given the context of the anime. I especially like the ground that Naota is standing on, that looks well-implemented. What you have created here is a simple wall, yet it still manages to convey the theme of FLCL fairly well.
Things that could possibly used for improvement may be to do some vector work so you can offer larger resolutions and maintain a level of detail without having to rely too heavily on the blurring (if it was intentional, please disregard the later portion of that comment).
To be honest i think the wallpaper is prefectly find and the texture on Naota looks find so i really don't see nothing wrong and i do like the fog effect.
I really like how the blurring of the MM plant adds depth to the image.
I do like the idea of coloring just the gutar though. It would better express the amazing things that arrived along with the gutar. Something amazing that mixed up his black-and-white world.
I like this wallpaper. It's simple but also has depth. My only complaint is how blurry Naota looks. I like the simplicity and elegance in all of your works.
fine, but i think the blurriness is what's making this wallpaper standout againts those crisp vector walls which are stereotyped as "best quality" when infact, art is so diverse there are so many standards for best quality, and that includes hazy walls too.
Its a nice wallpaper, alittle blurry, other than that its sweet,
cause the color black and white is blending in perfectly with
the pose and the picture, nice work hope to see more from
you.
To all the critics proclaiming the picture is too blurry, I personally like the look it fits the fast paced action of the anime where stuff comes out of nowhere and your mind seams to blur: But whats whith no blurred winged Kanchi in the back round? I mean c'mon he's a sick FCLC character. Of coarse i cant do anything near as good as the stuff in these gallerys so, i guess i should hold my tongue.
