As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. A piece from Tatsuyuki Tanaka, I dunno how I came to made this but the original art inspired me.
So I went ahead and decided to wall it, what the problem was how to distribute this scan versus wallpaper creativity unto it.
So yet again, I relied back on textures, because to me, the only thing that was lacking was clarity and texturization on the piece.
The piece was so great that I was so unsure where to put everything and made it better.
So therefore, in the end I just played with enough textures from nearly all packages from Resurgere, one by one, I tested the effects on each on it.
Everytime it looks good, I removed it and saved my progress.
Over the period of several weeks, I believe I have been through all of them and combined the perfect piece that compliments the original art and my own.

I would say I was just trying to beautify the scan into a wallpaper.
if anything, this wall was a pure inspiration and sudden thing, I doubt I was trying anything breakthrough, so as much as I enjoyed making it, I spent more effort admiring it.

Nice wallie! It looks very very realistic and it gives off a dark feeling, which fits the title. =] I really like it, the text is cool, how it sorta fades form the bottom. Nice job~! ^^

This is a very unique wallpaper, I don't know the series so I'm not sure what I'm looking at, but damn I like it.
It's so crowded and the longer I look at it the more I discover, but yet it's a very relaxing wallpaper.
The textures on the background worked out very well and the collors match it right.
But I found a little weird spot; on the left side of the buildings (or is it a train?! =S ) there is a spot that is too white and there is a vague tower silhouette that starts in mid air. It's a small spot but yet my eyes keep getting drawed to that point...

Nonetheless... it's a fantastic wallpaper!

'Tis a purtiful wall ^-^ The grunginess of it, plus the horrible brightness on my wall makes for hard viewing, so I can't nit-pick over any details, but overall, it's really nice and pretty. The original art is neat too, but its definitely been "beautified" into a wall :3

I really love the bg you made, the mist
is such a good effect to bring it together.

Although from the title I assumed there
was going to be a glass like a window to indicate that
it was in fact the view from her office but guess I took too much
meaning :\

The vector is done well, maybe the hair is too
realistic for her? Not sure, maybe (it's early) but it's
done well and painted good. I just don't think the vector
and bg really fit with each other, I'd consider it a crossover cause it
looks to odd.

But overall I have to fave it for the bg, I really
like the city looks and it's clean, clear and smooth.
