After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

I think a vector is something fully scalable from the source file (ie: svg, ai and so on) without lose on quality. Painting using vector mask is nice and all but not really vector from my point of view. But I am perhaps a little extremist on this subject.

@`akiranyo: What's the limit for something to be a vector ? "It's fully scalable from source file so it's a vector!", "It's a vector, I used vector to do it!" or "Look, the pinky finger is vectored so it's a vector!" I think VD rules should more explicit.

Hi everybody,

Here my wallpaper for the "March Monthly Challenge : Mecha Month".
I like Gundam, so I said myself "why not make a wallpaper with my favorite gundam ?" xD
I used a scan from minitokyo : here
Vectorizing this gundam took much time to me, starting by the forms until the shades and the details, but i'm happy of the result =P
I wanted a soft background which can emphasize my gundam.
I hope you'll like it ^^

The vector looks awesome! It just seems like you got lazy with the background. It fits well, it's just kind of... plain I guess. Still great work!

Yeah, if you have any ideas or will to redo the background then do it x] cause firstly it's very plain now, secondly - grey doesn't fit that well imho.

but the main thing is the vector of course and i have to say you hit the spot. i mean, you thankfully didnt use solid black stroke for outlines, moreover they are 1px and jagged (usually not good, but here just otherwise ;) thus have a very nice, oldschool, 2d game-ish feel ;] i dig it ;] nice job.

Nice wall and excellent vectoring. The text is appropriately placed and everything fits well together. I do agree that the background is a little plain but other than that everything about this wall is good. I'm adding this as a fav.

Completely love this wall, the background color is just the one I´v would'v used if I where to make the wall! Even the font is perfect!

The Gundam really sticks out. The linear shading in the sky helped a lot. I like this one.

I think this is probably the best vectoring of this particular (and painfully common) scan of Strike Freedom I have ever seen. Hands down great job on the vector. But the background is painfully simple. I'm all for "elegance in simplicity" myself but this wall would really have benefited from more...more ANYTHING in the background. LOL! I'm still downloading it though. Cheers!
