The first copy of The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya on DVD came to my door today, so I figured now is a good time to post up the new wall I've been working on. I went a bit outside my normal range with this one, starting with a vectored silhouette of Yuki, and then building a mono-color themed wallpaper with lots of patterns, shapes, and vectors. I got stumped for a while when I first started this wall, I was trying to avoid the pitfalls of starting with an original idea but ending up with a finish product inside my standard style. Eventually though I came up with a good base idea using some vectors, and everything else took off from there. This wall was a lot of fun to make, and it felt kind of liberating trying something new like this. I hope you all enjoy!
