This wallpaper captures the urban essence that proliferated the art of Ghost in the Shell in every incarnation of the series. Phill does an amazing job of capturing a moment of surrealism.

While there are a few, stray building angles and shadows, you find that your eye forgives the minor details and instead focuses on the overall scene that is larger than life, with lights trailing off into infinity.

Took several hours separately, has some 40 layers in them.

Now, this is vectorbrush spam with the cool in it.

Soniko is Nitroplus'' big breasted mascot, incase you are wondering.

Brushes by Paul W and yes, there is NO SUCH band, it is imaginary.

The Devonians are derived from my username, Devereux, Soundscapes and Silence is an alternate title by Stephen King's Nightmare and Dreamscapes. Texture looks similiar to the Benjamin wallpaper by Astroplus, yes, I used the same texture and different colors.

Sorry it is a bit simple, it is a design and concept wall.

Although it's simple, but i think it's worth a fav. ^^
very much looks like a CD cover... nice bg and effects.
only thing is the centre's a lil too complicated for me.
but overall i still like the simplicity and the styles of it.

Hmm looks to me like youve had a small image you wanted to wall and couldnt enlarge it. Still wall is pretty cool looking, good artwork and such. character could have been maybe a little bit sharper but still is powerfull enough.
The border around the outside square could maybe be a bit larger/clearer then a vaguely visible lightneon blue. Good job on the brushes and colour patterns surtainly hitting my style.
Nice job and dont worry there more people on 'something like hiatus XP'

If the image inside the box was a wallpaper itself, it would look sooo awesome (minus the mascot). Lovely colors~ But it looks nice in the box too, because I like this style. I think the cover is off-center... to the left.

Although the elements in the center are interesting (and your choice of color palette there works well), there's just a bit too much going on, and as a whole there is no real coherence in the composition. But in my opinion, the critical shortcoming of this wallpaper is its misuse of space. There really is no balance in the piece whatsoever, and that pretty much eliminates it from consideration as a desktop wallpaper in my book. I understand that it's a "design and concept" wall, but to me that doesn't excuse its weaknesses.

I really wanted to attempt to vector that image of Soniko so bad as a nice introductory wall on AP but I just knew it wouldn't have come out as great as the original. Oh well I still think you did it some justice. Liked how you improvised with the small scan and tried to include it into your wall. That border pattern really is nice.

Anywy a little more Nitro/Soniko is always a good thing.

I'm not that big of a fan, because the image is so small but the small image does look cool.

I can appreciate that you made this look like and album cover, but I would really love to have that image bigger. I love the colors and the random nature of the brushwork.

I love love LOVE the inset stuff, but the BG, although color-wise good, is just... flat. Putting on a blinding gradient would've been lovely, but you can't have it all. I like this enough to +fave :3

HELL No it doesnt not look simple....It looks great..The love the effects you have given to the frame in which the mascot is..I also like the inner frame section..The only thing that looks simple in the wall is the actual background of the whole wallpaper...Its looks like a WIndows Wallpaper...jk...Anyways looks good..Keep up the good work!!

this version's much better, the added flourishes fill in the overly big empty space of the bg quite nicely, it's definitely a lot better
