As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Background is done very nice...i also like the puff of cold breath...give the feeling of it being really cold... and the light bluish and white color adds to heighten that message ( of it being cold )...good job ^ ^ !

I love this background. I love the shading a lot too and color use. Was the image of the girl originally black and white? I've only ever seen For the Barrel in newtype magazine before. Is it an anime too?

The look on her face is really intense, and goes great with your theme. The puff of breath in front of her face makes it look like it really is freezing there. Makes me feel cooler, even. ^^ I also like the font you used.
