As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Do have a look at this beautiful wallpaper!

2nd version

Unlike the 1st version this one has WAY more space... and text.
The cloud brushes were taken from DA. The mountains and grass fields were painted with my OH SO LOVELY Trust tablet :3
I re-vectored Jin and made the tree branch blurry for some kind of depth. The tree is gone, mainly because it looked fugly.

Finally! Woohoo! I don't even remember when I started making this wallpaper. In the process I got myself a tablet =D yay!
First of all I vectored Jin and the leaves from this scan.
The tree camos from here.
I googled for a pic with mountains and then smudged them as the real pic looked ugly and I wanted something smooth. The sky stock photo is from ImageAfter. Textures from Resurgere.
I brushed the fields, burn and dodge tools were mostly used here.

Wow so cool. Yes it is very lonely. It's simple yes very calm and it fits his fasade very well his kind of gloomy dominer fits well with this picture I love the mountains and the tree is very pretty. Simple yet powerful a good combo. I love Jin!! Thanks for shareing your worked hard I can tell.B+ and a fav.(*^_^*)

This is a very nice wallpaper of jin! it doesn't seem all that lonely, it looks like he's waiting for someone with a stern face. my opinion though, well i like it very much and keep doing a good job Dioma!

This is an excellent wallpaper. Character is extracted very well. Color contrast looks right and the background is wow...it sure fits well with the character. I came upon this wall because one of my friend's put it in her favorite so I'll follow and put it in mine. Funny thing too because I'm not much of Samurai champooloo fan

Wow...just...WOW! It looks spectacular. A very Jin-ish wallpaper, and I like the somewhat oriental feel to it (or is that just me?). Anyway, great job on everything, the colors, the background, the extraction. Excellent job. ^_^

I really like the concept :3
theres a few things bothering me though.
the first, being that little treebranch sticking out on the right. it's...not on the edge. so it looks really weird. you HAVE to fix that x_x
the second...i'm not so partial to the mountains. they look more like dumplings than mountains. i think you should do a treeline instead. or make the mountains leafy green mountains. that would probably work best. since they're so light, they fight for attention with Jin.
whom i love and want to focus on xD
overall really nice though.

:O....cool idea :D~! hm...jeez...the tree branch @~1@"....sticks out on a weird way at first(out of the air?)...and..the second....it ruined the wall abit(absorbing the attention into it >_>) the grass...looks kinda...long n_nV but I like the grungy lookish brush mixed into it. the mountain edges are kinda sharp =/...blur those abit with manual blur? also be sure to darker the color of the mountain.....those bright colours are also absorbing attention =/.....jin should get the attention XD~!

The character (Jin was it?) is very well positioned. The grass, sky and tree are also very well made. The mountains however kinda look "fake". And that branch in front of Jin(?) is just bad. Very bad :( .

The thing that bothers me most is the unusual branch, which is growing out of Jin's shirt? The clouds need more depth, as well. A stock photo would work fine if you can't paint your own, or however you'd go about that process. The mountains look unusual too, I would prefer them looking more anime-style than 3-D like you have now. Finally, I don't really like the silhouette type tree you have behind him, so many remove that or fix it. Maybe some text would fill up that blank side next to him also?

Good work with the scan though, it blends with the idea nicely, the backround just needs some touching up.

I love the leaves, esp. their texture, and the sky- their ambience matches the scan well... I think the mountains are a bit awkward- they look too computer 3D-made... but overall it's a nice clean awesome wal!
