As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. This has to be the sexiest One Piece scan I've ever seen, it's so sad that it's just a sketch. I wonder how that wallpaper would have turned out with better lineart. :| emoticon

Deep down inside I'm just a shameless fangirl, I wonder if I sat there with my mouth agape when I saw the scan for the first time. What I like about One Piece are the crude humor and the crazy characters, what I really, really hate about it are the endless dragonball-esque battles. That's why I don't watch it anymore.
The scan was vectored and I kept the colours and bg simple to match the sketchy look. Some textures where added because I love textures and this time it even includes some text. The quote is from "Sputnik Sweetheart" by Haruki Murakami one of my favorite authors though there are other books by him I like more.

Textures are from Bashcorpo. Hope you enjoy.

Well, I'm definitely not a fangirl, but I do like this wall :) It's bleak and kind of psychedelic at the same time. The wall really expresses the way that many of us feel a lot of the time... kind of out of sync. I like it :)

I love the way you did the lineart! It kinda reminds me of Kunie Kanbara's work. Excellent choice of texture too.

Well I don't care much for the anime but hey I can't turn away from a sexy bishie, the simplicity is for lack of better words just plan cool, he looks so smooth and clean cut like he could sweep any fangirl right out of her socks, the background is a dull color but it fits so well, I also love the inserted words there very poetic . I think everything just wraps up nicely, it's a very hottastic wall. A- |(C_C)| emoticon

This is a wonderful wallpaper. very simple yet it definitely catches your attention. i love the earthy colors and that it's not cluttered or too noisy. (~_~) emoticon

Less is definitely more, I mean this is gonna be a desk top wall so you dont want anything thats gonna be too much, it gives such a minimalism feel with a touch of art nouveau!

Love it. I guess you could call me a shameless fangirl for agreeing with you that this scan is among one of the sexiest.. I'm surprised that you compared the One Piece battles in the anime to dragonball though. I've only read the manga and I didn't get that feeling. Anyway, I really love this paper! I'm a big Haruka Minami fan too, so I appreciate the quote with it ;)

I love this so much! The faded colors and how the guy is sitting, and even the cig. It brings out the cool factor. Its so awesome how simple it is, yet it shows so much. I wish I could find it hot but I don't find anime like that in that way. So I simply think it looks amazing and if it was a real looking guy, now that would be hot!
I'm adding this to my faves, I think I'm gonna use it on my desktop too!
