I guess I vectored/painted my sanity out because lately I've been enthusiastic about making more photo-manipulated wallpapers. This time I took a stock photo of a penitentiary and thought it was perfect for a Silent Hill wallpaper.
I’m uploading this to the group Script Refinery because of my font on the side wall that I played with, trying to make it look fitting and noticeable without sticking out like a sore thumb.
I started with this image here and cleaned up certain areas (this image is has been shrunk from it's original size). You might be able to tell that there are people in the background which a I had to edit out, along with the sign in the middle of the hall. The angle was perfect for the scan of Heather, which I tilted a bit to give the almost dizzying feeling that you get in the Silent Hill games. I added the creepy text on the wall and drew by hand the arrows pointing to the mysterious girl at the end of the hallway. Lastly, I added in a bunch of movie posters (mostly old ones) and tweaked them to look torn, tattered, and a bit grungy. Why are there posters in a prison? Who knows, that kind of stuff happens in Silent Hill, apparently. If you can name all of the posters I'll give you a cyber cookie ;)

The matching "Otherside" Version can be found on my deviantart account HERE.
The Otherside version goes hand-in-hand with the one I submitted here, and plays off of the way that reality twists and distorts in the Silent Hill Games. Heather was kept in the exact same position, while Cheryl in the background was exchanged for the darker (and creepier) Alessa.

I love the eerie yet magnificent surroundings you applied. This is midwich elementary from silent hill i guess because the blood stains on the wall spell dare you dare you double dare you came from the scene in silent hill in the school bathroom where the tied up and punished janitor. I love the theme it really gives you chills on your spine. I love your personal touch of putting sherryl in the hallway at the very back and the tiny silent hill movie poster on the corner it is like a subtle advertisement and a really smart design too. Keep up the good work I just hope it is as lovely as this masterpiece you have here!
