Quite an artistic piece of art we have, don't we :D? I like the manga-style, because it really fits the scene well. I must confess I don't even know what "Dogs" is about - but this scene somehow is really amazing.
What I like the most about the coloring is the "light reflections" on the clothes of the two persons. It makes them blend with the background very well.

Another thing that comes to my mind is that the wallpaper is clean even though you said you used a scan and not a vector. Maybe removing the balloons for the text would fit the wall even better - but indeed the scene did remind me of some movie - therefore the black lines at the top or bottom do fit in well too.
