Oh, i really love that paper!!

I really like how it looks like he is just coming out of the dirt, or the wall that the texture represents. I do think that the white text is a bit out of place though. Its really awesome other than that!

This wall has me perplexed. Everything about it I like, but I don't think it works as a whole. I always hate leaving "negative" comments, but try and think of this as a way to do better next time! Something to help you improve.

Well, to begin, I love your scan. Very snazzy! Serious, dark, brooding, pretty. Exactly what a Death Note scan should be. I also love the texture and colors. The texture is complex and has many layers (I especially like the trees), but the soothing brown plays against that in high contrast. Makes for a feeling of depth. Again, I like it. My favorite things in this entire piece are the text and the little flecks of glowing white. Both of these elements are either white or close to it and stand out greatly from the darker texture in the background. To help things out even more, the text is in a script font, which gives even more contrast between the sharp angles of the texture. The flecks of white simply help to add punch to an otherwise monotone image. Like I said, I love everything about this wallpaper. ^_^

Now, It doesn't work as a whole for a couple reasons. First, you've established a nice texture, but this texture isn't utilized correctly. With a texture like that, one would expect the subject of the piece to seem disorganized and disorderly as well. This would keep a singular feeling and theme throughout the piece. But, the rest of the piece isn't disorganized. Quite the opposite in fact. It's symmetrical! The text is balanced on both sides of the character, who is symmetrical to begin with and placed in the exact middle of the piece. The text, at the top of the piece, balances out the trees at the bottom adding to the feeling of balance and symmetry. That isn't the feeling you want in your subject, not with a texture like that. You want asymmetry. It's more interesting that way and keeps in form with the background texture. The white flecks, don't work as they are either. Though they are randomly spaced, they don't feel that way. The feel very controlled and cover the piece evenly. They are even a relatively similar size and shape. Give them some variation! Break up the symmetry a bit. Make the piece unbalanced. You can leave the scan in the center, that's okay, but I want a bit more of that feeling of disorder. Basically my first critique is play off the disorder of your background by making your subject feel disorderly as well, and that is mainly why it doesn't work.

The other reason the piece doesn't work is in how you dealt with the scan. While you did a good job blending the arms into the background, the point at which the scan ends is still apparent in both arms. Try blending the ends better. Focus your attention on the lines of the scan. That's where the end of the scan is most apparent. The only other problem with the scan that I can see is the oddly placed highlight. For some reason the highlight (the brightest part of the piece and thus the part the draws the eye) is on his left shoulder. Why is that? Was that purposeful? Find another place for that. The use of a highlight is good, but it feels awkward where it is.

Again, I'm sorry for the negative comment, but I saw so much potential in this wall that just wasn't achieved. I hope this has been helpful to you and I apologize for any offense I have caused. Keep up the good work! I can't wait to see more of what you have to offer the AP community!

and I will definitely take into consideration what you said in my next works

and the highlight on the left shoulder wasn't purposely brighter than the rest, I didn't see that obvious mistake I guess

He is so..dark on this wallpaper.He looks more powerfull than he is.
