Hi :)

I started this wallpaper a couple of weekends ago and almost gave it up as 'hopeless' to be honest, untill I came back to it yesterday.
I had found this scan of Kadaj a long time ago and immediately loved it. Kadaj is, when you get down to the core of his character, a very sad person. He's only a vessel or a puppet to wield someone elses power and that has made him mentally, well, disturbed...
Yet I wanted to make something that did him justice, show a different side of him, and I think I've succeded in that :)

Some tech-spechs. I started out with a magazine scan of Kadaj, typo all over it Nightmarish... I had also found, almost at the same time!, this beautiful photograph of a sky on the net and immeditaley knew that this was the combo I was looking for. I also loved the 'hightech-cubes' Squeenix always uses, so I made a complete field of that stuff, and faded it into the background. It's only faintly noticable now, but gives that extra edge.
I also wanted to add feathers, for the 'Sephiroth' and 'free-feel' effect, but also to keep it simple, only adding to it, and not drawing to much attention.

After working on it, in full-color, something kept bothering me, so I turned the whole thing to black and white, and started adding texture layers. Because, as in a brainwave, I thought that the whole thing would get more depth and feel with an old photo-look. And after more fiddling, this is want I ended up with it.
