I made this wallpaper for the opening of my wallpaper site Nocturnal which I also used for the header image on the layout. I found the picture here, immediately fell in love with it and I spent a long time cleaning up where the centre of the page was. The Clone tool was my best friend for an evening!

Then I played around with some texture blends. All the textures came from Deviant Art unfortunately I'm unable to provide more specific details than that.

I'm hoping I've done enough to this piece for it not to get rejected as a scan to wall image, because I really did spend a long time working on it and I really hope it shows.

Anyway I hope everyone enjoys this wallpaper. I've had it as my own for a little while now and I still love it to death

I like this scan a lot too. I can see that you edited out the text and fold in the middle. :) Good job with that and the textures/colors.
Though I do understand your concern for the "scan-to-wall" issue.

(And I would take out the apostrophe in the title, since it implies the possessive of a noun, not plurals. XP )

Wow. Awesome. I'm a big Xenosaga fan. You definitely cleaned it up nicely. I don't think you should worry about the scan to wall thing. I know how much time it can take to fix images like that. :)

Xenosaga is a game inever played but i saw this series once. i never had the chance to get to know the plataorm adventures but everytime i see an artwork like this i get that feeling of trying once again. so tnx for the ewwallpaper, its very beautiful.

Very nice.
This really is one of those pics that keep amaze you every time you look at it. I don't have much to say here, it's just a great scene. The wall has a nice style that makes the viewer look passed the minor irregularities here and there.

Looks very good on your site too by the way.

So all in all, great job!

I'm not a xenosaga fan but i must say that the wallpaper is impressive. i got a majestic feeling just looking at it. everything works together and the background fits in perfectly. it really is beautiful.

Wow, this is badass and sums up what Xenosaga should've been/had. You really cleaned up that scan and turned it into a really awesome wallpaper. I really like the kinda rosey tint to, goes well with all the blue and such. Good work!

I think what throws me off is how strange the perspective is to start with. Then you sort of messed up the sense of depth by adding the pinkish colors where the blob of white used to be. The blob of white from the original scan created a sense of depth, but the wallpaper does not. As a header for your site layout, it looks great, but up close as a wall, it's all very flat. If anything, I would have kept the white and darkened the background (upper left side of the wallpaper) to enhance the mood.

Okay so we have an awesome wallpaper right before our eyes.. /(oOo)#

however..

the colors are all messed up.. to much bright colors can ruin it.. to me, the colors are kinda dead,faded bright type.. althought i love it on how you design it though.. (9+_+) emoticon

but cheer up, at least you have another wallpaper to post and be proud of, right? >:D emoticon

Good coloring and a nice image you picked here. However I don't like the paper-effect.. that is: the quality of the wallpaper seems to resemble a scan and I'd prefer it would look more realistic.

Anyway: because the image is great and I like XenoSaga, I'll fav it!
