As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Do have a look at this beautiful wallpaper!
You know when you want to do two things at the same time but accedentally mixing them up? I just wanted to drink my cellphone and put my cup of tea to my ear -_-"
@`akiranyo: for VD #4 it's monochrome scans right ? I wonder if it would be good idea to accept vector of monochrome scan not submited on AP. What do you think ?
Because you didnt describe how you did it I can only take a guess. Did you trace it? It's a solid effort, the stroke lines are a little too bold though and kinda uneven in places but it's a fantastic effort, you've made a decent wall from merely tracing it out! Like the text and phrasing, suits ichigo perfectly! A good effort!
The stark lineart with the gentle shading is a little odd to my eyes, but overall it's a good effort. I'm not sure how this stacks up on the usability scale, but it's a nice pic overall.
Wow! Its first of the kind.
Never seen such kind of wallpaper before... very special.
I think everything looks fine except that the text kind of spoil the image...
Good work though!

While there is technically nothing wrong with it, I find the shading of Ichigo a little outside of the style of the series. Line-art is thin, and the gradients and shadows feel like they belong somewhere else. Also, at first glance, I was a little confused about the negative and positive spaces. I'm not sure if it is because of the vividness of the color of the "background" but it popped out to me as foreground material and for a good ten seconds I was trying to figure out what blue thing Ichigo was brandishing. Of course now that I see Zangetsu in the picture, I can't unsee it, but the event happened. Nice work, just some details that got to me personally.
