This is my half of the collab between me and redxxii of md.net
i say my half, because we both started a wall featuring one of the lovely ladies of eureka seven at the exact same time. we had no direction, and both just did whatever. after a couple of days, we were ready to trade off, and some adjustments were made and ideas brought to life.
they were switched back and forthe a few times.
to start, i reCGed the scan, and extracted it, and compiled a bunch of stock photos into what the background originally looked like (a bunch of stocks)
red then went and worked with them to smoothen it out and make it all flow together, and came up with the idea of outlining the stocks to give a handrawn look. a freakin AWESOME idea.
so, the wall came back to me, and me and my trusty tablet went to work, outlining like crazy. then, i did some more stock manipulation to add that "exploding" feel in the background. i added a cloudy, dusty have over a lof of the wall, and sent it back to red.
he made some adjustments and enhanced the effects, then added some text.
sent it back to me to adjust the text, and add some texture and a signature (mine is bette rthan his by the way)
then, we were ready to call it done.
this is my fav of the collabs i've done so far, because it was funny how the two walls are EAXCT opposites.
mine is very structered, and has a lot of architecture, blues, and even though it's destruction, is very serene with underlying grunge.
red's, is red, chatoc, grungy with architecture and structure as an underlying theme, and portrays the destructive nature as it occurs from the point it begins
well, we hope you enjoy the walls, because we love them and worked really hard on them :D
they're be uploaded with other esolutions at http://pixelatedgraffiti.animationalliance.net later tonight, and http://www.mercurialdesign.net/ next week
happy holdays to everyone too :D
