[Background info: the kodamas are supposed to be forest creatures that help preserve the greens.]
My walling inspiration: Interpretation/Storytelling.
I love pictures that tell a thousand words. I love artworks that have meanings beyond the pretty colours. With anime/manga walling, I usually try to relate it back to the original story and give a short intro in the description so that people may become interested to read/watch it.
My inspiration for this wall came from Ghibli/Miyazaki's trademark quirks of having mystical creatures, characters with child-like innocence/mannerism and messages about the nature - here showing the kodamas getting upset over the leaf dropping, almost like a child losing a candy.
That said, this wall came about like accidental babies.
Seriously, it's been a crazy month with my wedding coming up in a few months and I've got a million things to do. Yet coming home tonight at 11pm I had a massive urge to wall which I really want to (and have to) finish tonight - or else I won't have time for another 2-3 weeks when I get back from holidays. Need for speed.
With the Simpleism project in mind, a super-minimalist wall is the go - not as much details to go through because I do plan to sleep at some point tonight x_x Choosing a Ghibli idea was an easy decision - totally adore their stuff and Princess Mononoke is no exception, so I'm glad to have finally made a Ghibli wall. For the Vectorness challenge too.
Well it's 5am now (lolz!) but I did it - my fastest walling ever: 6hrs from concept through completion. And killed 2 birds with 1 stone too - sweet!
Drop me a message for more resolutions.
Hope you like it - cheers! ^^
