As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. holy shit i am [partially] alive OX. i'm really sorry i havent been around, but i dont know how much i will be around in the next few weeks so, again apologies in advance i love you all!

i've never had such a hard time with a wall. lol not that anyone is wondering but i was gone because i've been busy/have had no motivation for walling. i had a lot of trouble with the vision for this one, but i really wanted to finally make something that stayed pretty true to the original intent. hence, the really long time agonizing and being unmotivated. well, that and i've been partying maybe a little too much ( <3 emoticon

so this wall has alot of significance for me. to me she is being reborn. the lotus flower symbolizes rebirth and transformation, and the title references to the water of life or whatever you call it (im really friggin tired right now). and in the process i've really been trying to branch out and become the person i used to be last year. i've been through some stupidly meaningless ruts this year, but i guess that's the truth of life in general. but i think that in the time i've been away i have discovered alot more about what i want out of life :D--well we'll see how long this attitude lasts, hopefully past exams!

hmm long description that doesnt really have to do with the process, but i think the result is pretty simple so most people could make this anyways OX

The vector is clean and the concept is interesting. I have been looking at the wallpaper for a few moments.. the black behind the vectors is the most outstanding thing, because I think it doesn't suite the scene, however it gives it all a darker feeling, which I do like.

Since the painting and the vector are simply awesome and the composition is well done, I'll give it a +fav :). Hope to enjoy more good walls from you.

I'm not sure why, but I think they shouldn't be so in line with the petals.

Nice colors, I like the purple outlines on the girl. I think it would have helped to have some faded outline to the her back, like you do for the shaded parts of her dress, because it looks like she just cuts off at the shoulder blades in your version. Nice simplification of the dress too.

This is so lovely I'm just fascinated by the colors and how realistic the clothing and body features look. The dresses textures are so spectacular and the simplicity of the background over the flower and elegant angle of the girl are really amazing. I also like how clean cut and emotional you made the atmosphere. This is a really beautiful piece of art I really love your styles. A++ and a fav. :P
