I've always wanted to make some sort of serial experiments lain wallpaper, but never really knew where to start. Recently I found a picture of a few monitors, which fits SEL like nothing else. So I vectored those and a nice image from the artbook (I love how the shadows on the sweater turned out!). At first I made a background with those retro-round-thingies brushes (you know what I mean), but that didn't really turned out the way I wanted. So then I started making twist's and twirls as a background and well... ehm... Tadaaa!?!

It's simple, and the curly design elements coming into the foreground (ie over the monitors) appeals to me. it looks a bit funny that she's jsut cut off at her waist without anything there, but i like it.

Nice telnyashka, and the shadows on it too. I like the disty colors. The flame smoke thing might have extended a bit more as they lose in density towards the outside, they look kind of centric to me.

I love it!in fact my fav part of this wll are those monitors!nice idea,pretty original too.Also,strong vectoring work and those swirls are awesome.Keep up the good work and thanks for sharing!

It's pretty cool wallpaper, and I love Lain..but it seems like it's lacking something..
maybe if you added a fainting outline of her lower body it's look a little better..but it is still a very high quality vector art and it's simple but has it's own thing that catches the eye,....great work

In general a 1/3 by 2/3 layout would be easier on the eye (i come from the photography sector and just have to say this, sry) yet it's nice and simpe. finally a different lain-wp! well done! ohh btw: the previe kinda reminded me of videogirl ai O.o

Well, I was looking for a lain wall with her computers involved...I thought this was one, But I noticed the monitors in the back look more like a selection of images from clip art.
Add some more detail to them and I'd probably download this.
I love the blank back, I like that, and lain herself is good, the moniters just annoy me~
