As an animation, Bakemonogatari has a simple, clean art style. But the guest illustrations for the series are anything but simple! So, it's great to see that °Tens took on a more complex illustration and made it his own with vector gradients so fine at points it more resembles painting that vectoring. Do have a look at this beautiful wallpaper!

16:9 Support Center

Welcome to the Support Center!
Basically, this is an introduction thread, but it's also used as a petition form for getting 16:9 resolutions supported by AP.
Do you have a 16:9 monitor yourself? Do you have a mediacenter hooked to your TV? Please tell us here!

---

To kick off, my name is GoldenApe and I've been using an LG 22" Full HD monitor for a month or so now. Since I have no TV, I use it to watch anime and movies, so not having any black borders above and below the actual film is fantastic. When I had just installed the monitor, I discovered I didn't actually have ANY wallpaper to fit my desktop, or it'd stretch or create black borders. I had to chop down a widescreen wallpaper to make it fit properly, but of course that means you lose a part of the wall :(
So that's why I started this group and I'm hoping on your support!

I guess I should say I'm not used to see open pinned topics XD

Anyways I don't have a widescreen monitor, but I am considering getting one. I hardly know anything about screen resolutions, but as I recall the monitor I was looking at in the store was a 16:9 as well so It be a pretty big problem if I couldn't get walls for it.

PS I am also considering getting a second 4:3 and set it up as a duel monitor instead of getting one widescreen. I'll wait and see how this resolution thing works out before picking which one I'm going to buy. :| emoticon

Yea, I think it'll take a while before AP will even support 16:9 and after that it'll take time for people to make walls in that resolution.

It locks after 4 weeks, so you don't have to worry about it that often.

I also got a 16:9 monitor at home with 1920x1080 resolution. My brother uses it for his PS3 and I use it for watching anime =3

BTW, i have made 2 16:9 wallpapers here and they got accepted..

Yes! For some reason there are more Full HD walls in the gallery now, I'm a bit puzzled about it since I'm pretty sure that wasn't possible in the past. Or maybe I didn't look well enough and just didn't see the resolution being supported in the FAQ.

Good job CorruptedPerfection to start walling in 16:9 as native resolution :)

Sorry to butt in, but those 2 walls weren't deleted because of the resolution but because the waller used someone's vectors without credit and claimed that she made them herself.

That's fair enough. Luckily those weren't the only 16:9 walls ^_^
