Your best war film ever

The best for me probably is Saving Private Ryan :D (coupled with Band of Brothers, but that's a series). I still hate that one scene (always will) where that guy gets that knife slowly pushed into his heart *shivers* Dx
There's a bunch of other I can mention, but Saving Private Ryan is the best war film for me. Others include: Thin Red Line, Wind Talkers, Full Metal Jacket, Sahara etc. there's probably more, but forgot xP
What's your fav war film? :D
Quick edit: Ooh, just remembered another one: U-571. Great submarine movie :D

Yeeaaah! coz that movie is superb!

War movie?
Black Hawk Down was good, and Pearl Harbor and The Last Samurai also had war in it ^^

I agree, Black Hawk Down is a great war movie.
The greatest war movie of all time is The Great Escape. It's totally iconic.
Other than that, I also love submarine movies. But I'd have to say Das Boot was the best, although it's quite long. Second to that is Crimson Tide with Denzel, Viggo, and Gene Hackman - although technically, it may not be considered a war movie.
n.b. It's "Hotel Rwanda" about the Rwandan genocide. If you liked that, should should try Shake Hands With The Devil, based on the autobiography of General Romeo Dallaire who represented the UN. It's also about Rwanda but from a very different perspective.

Yeah, Saving Private Ryan is most probably the winner, but I've watched Jarhead recently and have to say it's pretty close. That's the first war film without corpses, shooting and dying.
But still, it's a great movie.
Someone knows what I'm talking about?
And I would like to point out also Platoon and Forrest Gump, if FG can be a war movie.
