Chain Mail (Mystery)
1 Page: [ 1 ]
Hello, this thread is inspired by the novel by Hiroshi Ishizaki.
Just like Chain Mail, but tweaked a little.
This thread can only have 4 people participating. August and I are going to participate here too, so there's only room for two more. If you wanted to join this thread, but all the spots are filled, you can start another thread called "Chain Mail #1,2,3,etc.".
The story will have 4 characters:
Girl(victim), female
Boy, male
Con-artist, male
Detective, female
Once you choose who you want to be, copy that list of the characters and paste it into a post on this thread with your username beside the character you want and name your character. You can play a character of the opposite sex if you wish.
Here's the story:
The Girl meets the Boy and the Con-artist. Unfortunately, she doesn't know who's who. The Detective tries to find out who's who. The Con-artist wants her money and has a history of dating many rich women, he's a play-boy (like Takeshi from Princess Ai). The Boy is poor/middle class and very sincere, he's polite and shy. The Girl lives on her own. The Detective is a strong female and is not easily threatened.
It doesn't matter if you're a strong writer or a beginner, if there's room, you can join. Just remember to keep it real. This thread will stick more to real life, so no magic. You can make a character like voodoo, but no magic animals and lands and such.
Basically, you write the story in your characters' perspective. And don't just write one or two sentences, you can play a little bit of someone elses character like this:
Girl: I went up to him and asked, 'Are you alright?' He just looked at me and fell onto his knees and cried.
Above is what I mean when I say you can manipulate a bit of someone elses character. But it must stick to the original attitude of the character that the user created. And if there are side characters that appear in one or two scenes, you can play them like this:
Detective: I went around asking civilians if they saw him. There was a mother looking a bit shocked while holding her son closely.
"Excuse me ma'am, but what seems to be wrong here?" I ask.
"A-a man, he just ran out of that alley shooting everywhere!" The woman shouts back at me. The little boy in her arms starts wailing.
So like that.
Remember when you write your part start it of with the name of your character, like this:
'Name of character': I woke up this morning and...
Well, I think that's all of it. ^^;
