Introduce yourself here
Ni Hao!
Grave of the fireflies, no doubt.
Chinese I've been in china for about 6 month in Shanghai, I learned Chinese for 1 year but it's too hard to continue studding it in another country.
Yes but when Goro shows the script to the Gibli's crew they were convinced that he could make it, despite Miyazaki father opinion
TongI am Tong. I am a Chinese but I live in U.S. I started loving Miyazaky's movies seen I was in fifth grade. I cannot remember the name of the first movie that I saw. But I still remember the story, it was sad. I almost cry. Anyway, I think I will have fun here.

TongBut I heard that they are having conflicts, Miyazaki Hayao doesn't want his son has the occupation as he does.
Is that true?

Hi! I´m from Finland, so I live in Northern Europe (Animepaper really has people all over the world, heh heh). I´m 16. I love Ghibi films, I saw my first one when I was 8, it was My Neighbor Totoro/ Tonari no Totoro. At the age of 10 I was already Miyazaki and Ghibli fan so I have been fan about 6 years :)
I haven´t used to introduce myself...
I´m looking forward to Gedo Senki. Nice to meet you all ^^

A~~ acturlly, no. I saw Grave of the fireflies when I was even younger, but at that time I am not even know what is anime or mange, and who Miyazaki is. But it was so sad that I keep crying even after the movie was finish, and I promised to myself that I would not watch this movie again because I don't want to cry like that again. (so my first Miyazaki movie is this one not the one I had mention, sorry. I make a mistake.)
You learn Chinese before? WOW! That's cool. I know Chinese is hard. I think because it is total different from the Westen language. The Westen language are letters, but Easten language are "picture". (that's what my friends call them) Anyway, nice to talk to you.

Welcome to all the new ones!
Nice to meet you mineko
Diversity is great, (thats why animepaper as good wallpaper and a great forum)
I never had the chance to got to Finland (my sister got the chance but because of work I couldn't visit her) but I have been in Sweden it wasn't as far away as France. Anyway welcome here.
Same thing it got me right in the heart I will never forget it, and I tried to look at it a second time but I stopped in the middle and watched love love it was just too difficult.
I don't find it that hard when you like something you learn it easily (I never arrived to learn German because I just don't like it as much as Chinese) and because the writing system is so interesting so as soon as I can I will continue.
