@blue: nuh uh, vampires are the sexiest creatures of the night (unless you're referring to the vampires from 30 Days Of Night, they were thugs.)

What's your first memory of Sailor Moon?

When was the first time you saw the Sailor Moon anime?
Like, what was happening in your life then? What made you want to keep watching it?

Well, that's some question. Lets see, I had to of been in jr. high.. or a little younger.. I don't exactly remember but I think the first time I saw Sailor Moon was when my friend came over and turned the T.V. on in my room or she had a tape. I'm not exactly sure but she was all excited. I don't remember actually seeing it until a few weeks or month's later. She began to record it from T.V. so we could have an SM marathon. Which we did and it was majorly cool. The show became a life line for me back then because my friend would pause the T.V. and sketch it off the T.V. Which she got good at pauseing and rewinding. Thus, I became good as pausing because I tried to draw like she did and I found out that I actually could draw. Which I thought I wasn't good at anything. So, from there I dream everyone from the are season and still have them to this day. Plus, my own novel was born from it. Because of it, I also had a revalation that there was someone of the male variety out there who could actually love me for the un-talented and burdened girl I was. Isn't it strange how God used a little T.V. show to change my life? I still can't believe it myself and that was what... over 7 years ago... Could be more.. I lost track.

So, there is my 'story'. What's yours?

Funny story, actually. I remember sitting on my friends couch in 8th grade (about 10 years ago) flipping through the TV Guide, and coming across a little blurb on sailor moon. As i read it, it kind of hit me that i knew it from somewhere. My mom had mentioned it to me back when i was about 8 years old (thats about 15 years ago...i'm old) and said she had read an article in a magazine about a girl that transforms into a super hero with a talking cat. I never heard of it again till i read that blurb in TV Guide. So, the next day, i went home from school and i turned it on, and i remember that it was one of the episodes just before they fight queen beryl. I was hooked.
To make it even funnier, when i was in ninth grade, i had an art class with a teacher (whom i have kept in touch with even after my college years) and we had to do this insane little project that involved cutting up magazine pictures. I was flipping through a magazine, and i found the article that my mom had read back when I was 8.
I've been in love with sailor moon ever since.
At the time Sailor Moon was exactly what i needed to deal with life. Silly as it sounds. I have a brother who's pretty much a fuck-up, so i spent my of my high school time alone and all that. Typically whinny emo kid story. When i was in 8th grade i had all my friends turn against me for one reason or another, and i lost them all. SO, at the time, the only relaxation i had was going home every afternoon and turning on cartoon network at 4:30 and watching sailor moon while drawing crappy fanart.
Now I spend my time collecting [expensive] things from it like cels and model sheets. I just added a cel from Sailor Moons moon princess halation attack to my collection <3 emoticon

I have to totally agree that Sailor Moon and Sailor Moon are are the best. I know I have them all memoried if I were to watch them again. I became totally devoted to watching it... I mean I even got my Mother to record it for me since it was on an hour before I got out of school and I could never watch it. So, I have random tapes I can still watch... It would be nice to do so... but I have to get thru all the other stuff in my life to get to it.

Theres no Clean-up Drawing (Douga, under drawing, pencil sketch, whatever you weirdos call it.) because it's a Bank cel, and Bank cels rarely have them.

This is the other one that I love

Because it DOES have the background and the exposure sheet (which only a super nerd like me would find awesome) but still no clean-up drawing.

FYI exposure sheets are what the animators use to write notes on such as how many frames a certain cell stays on the camera, and how many layers a frame should be and all that fun stuff.
We don't use them as much anymore because with computers and programs like flash, the exposure sheet is pretty much built in (called a timeline) and since there are no more cameras, we don't need to shoot stuff anymore.

I also have a couple other cels...one of sailor neptune, one of seiya (my first cel ever from about 6 or 7 years ago) one of mars, and a clean-up walk cycle of Mina.

God I'm such a nerd lol

I have some that are very pretty maybe i should scan some and post it ^^ i used to collect them when the stores around where i lived had it... they disappeared though... i still look for drawings and poster/wallscrolls and such for good sailormoon items ^^;;

Totally awsome cell's! THOSE ARE JUST INCREDABLE!!

Personally, I just drew Sailor Moon characters from a paused VCR tape. I got really good at pausing. So, those what.. 6 drawings are still so precious to me. Not as bad as I once thought. But I didn't really buy anything sailormoon cause I was rather embarrassed because were I am.. it wasn't catching on.. quite.. or at all.. but the generations below me will apprhesate my work. Like my wall painting of Kenshin... almost didn't get done cause he had a sword. but it was going in the home-eck room or FCS room as I knew it... but my treasures are my drawings and tapes... oh, and the movies... I love the movies... they use to sit beside my bed for years... sad I know but it was nice to see them since they were my limited supply. At least until I got the internet and started downloading image's left and right. Which eventually, I would print and past on all my book covers. *^^*heh. Mercury got accounting and all the math's *^^* I love the chibi ones. I still have as my school momento's.
But now, I buy as much as I can.. if I find what I wont at the right price tho. I do have a wallscroll tho and the keychain's but poor jupiter lost her arm... she's my fav and I was using her on my keychain.. then she fell.. and I never did find her arm. poor thing. Anyways... that's about all I got from my first memories... but its kinda nice to hear I'm not the only freak around here *^^*

I knew about Sailor Moon ever since I was little. More like ever since I can remember. I forgot where I got it from but it's a long time ago.
Then I began seeing it air on Cartoon Network. I was hooked to it again.

Hmm... now that I think about it. I think my mom made me watch Sailor Moon when I was little. She made me watch a lot of anime when I was little ...

Hey guys im FINALLY back online p(T_T)q emoticon
when i was in middle school i was getting mixed up in the wrong crowd if you know what i mean... any way, i wouldnt come home after school or sneak out at night and stuff like that. well my grandpa got worried about me and one day he caught me and dragged me home and locked me in the house (of course he was there) and turned on the t.v.
he put on cartoons for me (i was in 5th grade i think...) and found sailor moon.
... it was the episode where they found Lita. where you found out that she had gotten kicked out of her old school because of fighting (i was in the process of being kicked out but thank god i wasn't) it was a character that i could relate to. from that day on, i came home immediately, because i was afraid of missing even one episode! actually, thats how i got hooked on DBZ too, because it came on right after sailor moon hehehhe|(C_C)| emoticon

WELCOME BACK ONIGIRL!! WE'VE.. or at least I... MISSED YOU! ITS SO NICE HAVE YOU BACK!

Now, with that story.. I definatly know why you like Lita so much. You are her for sure.. but just started a little eariler at the whole school thing. *^^*heh 5th grade.. wow... you naughty girl... *^^*heh but you at least got reformed.. with Sailor Moon! Oh, and speaking of DBZ... boy, for years.. I dispised it. Because it was more populare then Sailor Moon and I was totally against it. But after quit a few years.. it grew on me. And RPing.. helped too.. when I use to be totally devoted. Now, all I do is write story's. Its the samething as Rping just without every character having someone behind it..

Oh, have you guys checked out the new story... oh, wait.. yeah.. yeah you know if you read the front page here on Make-up!.. but anyways, August199 and Myself started a "fanfic" and would like you guys to come and read it. Leave comments and such. Here's the address... http://moonlightreflections.wordpress.com/sailor-moon-neo/ ... hope you come and read.. your wont believe what you read. Trust me... even I don't. So, yeah.. I'm done advertising now.

My first memory was coming into the show about 10 episodes before the princess shows up. Nephrite had died, Molly was actually affected by it, and then bang, Sailor Moon is the Princess.
I do believe I cried a little. Such storytelling I had never seen in animation.

Well i have no memory of Sailor Moon. I only heard about it from my cousin. And she's way older than me. I was just a kid. And i ddn't know about anime until i was about 13-14 yrs of age. And well where i live anime is not a big thing. We catch our asses to get anime on DVD (japanese or english).I can't even find a volume of Sailor Moon here. So now since i have access to the net i began watching the series online. So i'm sorry if my post isn't anywhere near you guy's own.So. But i really love Sailor Moon attacks though. And transformations. LOL^_^
