On July 13, a trailer for the first movie was shown in several theaters and is now available online.
This is a "high quality" version of the trailer (Rapidshare)
The resolution is actually really low, PM one of the admins a link if you find a better quality version, please :D

Rebuild of Evangelion, the four new movies to be released in the years following 2007.
Three movies will be an alternate retelling of the series, and the last will be a completely new ending to the series.
These releases will definitely be one of the most anticipated sequels in the anime community.

As for me, I'm saddened to hear that we won't be seeing Asuka in the first movie T_T, but I'm happy to hear that Kaworu will appear as early as the first movie.

I've been waiting so long for the rebuild of evangelion. I'm so glad we're on 2007 already ^^, I hope the alternative ending doesn't dissapoint me like "The End of Evangelion"

AHH!! 4 more movies of Neon Genesis Evangelion? This is like a dream come true!! Wow i've had a read through that wikipedia website and man I can't wait. hmmm.. a whole new ending to the series? I wonder what will that be. This would be pretty interesting to see. I mean the End of Evangelion ending was weird... seriously weird.

Meh, I actually liked The End of Evangelion, I don't know why so many people disliked both the series endings and the movie endings >_>

I like the End of Evangelion ending too
and I can't wait till the 4 movies are out, at least this is moving forward...unlike the live action.

Though i mentioned earlier in the introduction that i dont quite grasp the eva series, nor do i like how it ends, i applauded the creator for producing such a unique product.
commenting to the posibilities of alternate ending due to public demand...
the ending is for the creator to set and us to accept, what ever the ending was it should be accepted as is.
if we as viewers tells the story tellers how the story should go and end... they why do we have them from the begining?
Its dissapointing to see movie maker these days cared more about what audiences think & profit rather than the art & the story itself.
it shouldnt be a compromised results isn't?
i just hoped the next eva is original and in is very own way, to see it becoming a mainstream thingy... i would considered it as an insult.

We all have our different opinions for the End of Evangelion. I didn't like it cause it left you feeling incomplete. I mean, apart from having giant Rei pieces in the world, what's to become of Shinji and Asuka (who is somewhat strange for she has the bandages like Rei and characteristics of Misato) in this new desolate and barren world? What will they eat? Drink? (provided if the liquid is drinkable since it's composed of humans) etc...
It just left you hanging really, not really good for closure.

I didn't really mind End of Evangelion. I can even say I liked it~
