What is RPG? Well, I know it's stand for Role Playing Game. But there are not enough specification that can justify a game is really a RPG or not.
I mean, many developer says, for example, Castlevania : Symphony of the Night -> Action RPG, Super Robot Taisen series -> Tactical Simulation RPG, and many other game with adding RPG behind it's genre. Are they truly RPG? And the important thing is, can we discuss them in this group?
Please share your opinion about this matter

My simple though : RPG is the game you can't ended just for 1 night, an adventure game. Action RPG? from my opinion, this RPG have swarm monsters and we are surounded by them. When the enemy approach, the number is swarm and we must kill all the monsters with limited potion (maybe) Strategy RPG, you must use your brain for this

Well an RPG could be almost any game by definition. You play the role of a character. But thats not what an RPG is to me. To me it has to have some of the following elements;
1) Build up stats/level up
2) Be able to change equipment
3) Has a (good) story that you progress through
4) Fight monsters (I've played some where you fight only humans and stuff, feels weird)
5) Boss fights!

Well,RPG or Role Playing Game is a kind of game which have a lot of ending..
The ending that you got based on what you say,you do (choices)..
Also RPG is really challenging with the Final Boss like Suikoden..
Hope that this can help you a lot

An RPG must have the following to make it worth my time:
-Creative characters and Story, don't care about cliches as long as it intrigues me.
-Gameplay, not that much but you have to enjoy the game while playing through the story.
-Level up System: cool ways to increase your characters' stats.
-Challenging/cool Bosses: Gotta love those bosses, make it worthwhile to reach them and duke it out trying to beat them.
Especially the sometimes almighty uber-boss: the strongest optional boss who far surpasses the final story boss! painstakingly hard most of the time.
That's about it, oh and graphics never hurt either, though I don't really care that much for it.
