Sakura Hime Kaden is Arina Tanemura's latest manga. After take a break, finally sensei come back with her latest story.
Here's the information :
Sakura Hime Kaden (桜姫華伝 (さくら ひめ かでん), Legend of Sakura-hime) is a Japanese shōjo manga by Arina Tanemura. The manga will be serialized by Shueisha in the magazine Ribon. The manga debuted in the January 2009 issue of Ribon, which went on sale December 1st, 2008.
The series was first announced in the December 2008 issue of Ribon which went on sale November 1st 2008. Along with the official announcement, a poster from the series and a 6 page preview of the manga were featured.
The series will be a period piece set in the Japanese Heian period. It is Arina Tanemura's first work after a short break from writing manga.
Story :
Sakura is a princess who lives alone with a few maids in a mansion deep in the mountains. She’s been engaged to the prince of the country since she was born. She doesn’t like that fact, as she wants to decide her fate on her own. However, one day, a messenger from the prince suddenly came to take her to the capital…
Characters :
* Sakura-hime is the heroine of the story. She is a princess of her land and is engaged to the prince of her country.
* Aoba is the main male lead. He is also revealed to be Sakura-hime's fiancee at the end of the first chapter.
* Asagiri is Sakura-hime's guardian spirit. She serves as a mascot for the series, similar to Chocola from Tanemura's Time Stranger Kyoko.
PS : This story will take place during the Heian period of Japan. That' from 794 A.D. to 1185 A.D.!
