Hey there Shinkai worshipers! Sadly, the only online streamed video of Shinkai's newly released "Speed of 5 centimeters". I highly reccomend you download this though, because the pixelation really ruins the purpouse of Shinkai's work.

I have watched that,I downloaded it through torrent.
Must say that I love it a lot XD
Although the quality is not very good,but the graphic is still very amazing,the music is also damn good.
I haven't fully understand the plot though,guess I will rewatch it two or three times ^_^

Haha, well the basic plot from my understanding is that the Main character Takaki, and Akari became good friends in about 4th grade. Then as the grew older they were seperated, thus the movies title "A chain of stories about the seperation" or something like that. Episode 1 is just their childhood mostly, and then they see each other again after writing to each other for so long. Rumor has it that episode 2 and 3 are from diffrent perspectives, and diffrent times.

I hope that in the end of part 3, when they are grown ups, they are together! Shinkai has the tendency to make sorta sad, unasnwered and sumtimes 'uncomplete' endings (ie: happy endings!) but then again, thats whats soo damn good about his anime!

Lol, so I just tried to download the latest episode of Naruto from Dattebayo, but it was a troll. And I got the first episode of 5cm/second instead! I wasn't too sad about it. :-) I had been looking for a torrent for it! hahaha

That gives me a great idea to promote Makoto Shinkai's work. Just rename his movies and previews to: Bleach - 119, One Piece 534 (dunno what the latest episode is), and some X-rated movie.
And if we put a link in the file, we also can promote this group! =P

Alright I've downloaded the first ep about a week ago and watched it 4 days ago. And it bugs me as hell that I waited so long to watch it...

When I showed a friend of mine Voices of a Distant Star, after he just entered the world of anime, he became completely hooked. A few month's later he told me that Shinkai was working on a new Project (Byousoku 5Cm), but I was a bit sceptic then.
I just thought... it probably isn't as good as TPiOED or VoaDS, cause... what can surpass that level. So in the beginning I was a bit sceptic, until...
He showed me the trailer of Byousoku a few months later, without telling me that this was the movie that Shinkai was working on. I had forgotten about that Shinkai's newest movie was called Byousoku 5 Cm and even though it looked awfull familiar it didn't ring any bell in me. Nonetheless I was completely overwhelmed by it and he told me later on that THIS was Shinkai's newest work.

The trailer took away all my doubt and now that I've seen the first episode I can barely sit still thinking of the two that will come! My worries that Shinkai couldn't capture that atmosphere like he did in his previous work were completely unnecessary. I can't describe the exact feeling but I can tell that my heart was racing when Takaki and Akari finally met at the station... just indescribable...

Ok a long story that could have been told short: Byousoku 5 Cm will rock!!
