The idea of begetting this topic occurred to me while I was browsing on Hongfire.

Lately, I've been wondering if only humans have fetishes merely because they have a conscious mind, and in most cases an averagely educated brain, or is it simply their nature that what they perceive through the use of their senses (excluding ESP)?

I find it unimaginable to presume that a male dog would be sexually aroused by seeing a mate dressed in something humans find to be a major turn on, i.e. stockings, school uniform, etc.
I don't think animals would even be able to conduct a triple penetration, naturally they wouldn't even think about it. ( Epic fail)

And yet humans could reach the possible peak performance of their sex drive thanks to Japan, mostly.

This is a topic that has been lightly touched upon by myself with a few of my friends, but something that never really was deeply touched upon. I, personally, think it does have to do with that we have a conscious mind. We form different likes/dislikes. For example, something about garter belts and stockings drives me wild. It's because of the way they look and they just have that sort of appeal to me as well. It's the same thing with glasses. Depending on the glasses and the girl, it can go the same way. Of course, being curious creatures that we are, we experiment around to find new pleasures or interest. Yes, sex is a means of reproduction. A means to keep our species alive. I personally consider sex to be a true bond of love. The ultimate act of intimacy, to truly share the bond of love with another. We truly are interesting creatures. To take something that is a means of our survival and to find unique things such as bondage and multiple penetration, it's almost a marvel. It truly shows the creativity of the human being.

As for fetishes making us who we are, I more of think that it's a piece of the pie that helps shape us into what we are.

I say fetishes are derived from boredom, yes sex is a way to reproduce, but we can do that other ways now, so we can just enjoy the sensual pleasure of sex, and we are also exposed to sex quite often. So plain old intercourse is quite boring now, so some seek to add to the pleasure of sex with something new.
But the other way of looking at it is a way of remembering the past loves/girlfriends/sexual encounters you had, by finding something or someone similar, or someone you idolized. Which sounds more creepy than it is.

Since a lot of people has a lot of opinions then a number of people would say that "Sex is NOT only a means of reproduction"---If this was the case then everygirl would be pregnant by now no matter what age and every country would be over populated because of the massive birthrates. (well...that depends if the girl chooses to abort the kid.)

On topic however, I find that fetishes are the arousal stimuli, an extra if you can that denominates the state of conciousness the mind has.

For example, I know of people who consider breast feeding as a fetish,
the concious mind of the person considers that as an arousal, even though it is nothing more in the animal kingdom that breast feeding is the means of feeding an infant with motherly care and nutrients vital to their survival/growth.

The sexualized image of such an action brings about none other than the imagery of the person's mind. (Ie. Sex=breast feeding=good arousal) and the connection begins, we can connect all sorts of shit with our heads.

There are two ways of referring to fetishes i think, one is the one we're using here and is used this days which is something like an uniform or some characteristic we found arousing, and the other one is a fetish that you simply cannot feel aroused without it. According to Freud a fetish is born as because of the absence of a penis and as a replacement of it.
As for men who like multiple penetration and stuff like that may have something to do with his own view of himself, thinking that he may not be enough to satisfy a woman.

Fetishes are just conditioned responses to stimuli. In other words, a person through an experience with an object/idea becomes sexually aroused and thus associates that particular thing with sexual arousal. If said stimuli is are paired enough times with sexual arousal than a fetish is born. Fetishes are I believe are socially based, they are not innate drives. Of course there are always the philias which consist of a fetish but the difference would be that a person cannot function sexually without that object, fetishes on the otherhand are just "turn-on" cues. This is an extensively studied topic in the psychology world because they are so pervasive in modern day societies.

Okay the reason why i said it was programed because look it this way the media uses it to sell correct they they tend to brainwash you sub or uncontentious whether you know it or not..
