^nat
After months of work, chanelqueen17 has created a gorgeous scene of Alice and Oz from Pandora Hearts, using scans that didn't even feature both characters together. Even after spending so much time on matching the details of the characters to their new looks, chanelqueen17 didn't stop there and went all out on the background too! This wallpaper definitely needs to be seen!

Alfred Pennyworth
Because some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money. They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with. Some men just want to watch the world burn. " --Alfred Pennyworth, from The Dark Knight

I’m an intern for a great company. When my boss hired me he said the company valorizes people who seek for education, responsibility and dedication.

Other interns like me (taking into account that I’m a Management Trainee and they are Engineering Trainees), usually come to ask me something like that:

engineering inters
-Arthur, you should study Engineering, this is the future and this company is about engineering. Why don’t you drop off Management school to start Production Engineering?

me
I find it really interesting to learn how everything works from inside. Imagine the calculations and all hours of work one spent to build a specific machine? It’s wonderful. But to do that, you need money and market to sell the machine. I’m the one to tell you what to build and who it’s destined for.

engineering interns
-But the product sells itself when it’s good.

me
-Correction: People buy the product when they realize its utility. People will only realize that if there is a good Manager behind the scenes.

engineering interns
-Anyway Arthur, we engineers don’t care about that stuff. If you want to continue studying this, it is not our concern. It’s a pity though. Anyway, we see you applying for trainings, reunions, meetings, and why is that? You don’t need to care about this stuff, you are an intern. Leave this to employees!

me
-Guys, when an opportunity comes, who is more likely to appear in their minds: me or you who never care?

engineering interns
-Arthur, we are engineers! There is no such concern about getting a job! But you are right, there is such concern about administrators!

me
-The point here is not the concern about getting a job or being reminded by your boss when an opportunity comes. The point is that you don’t care about this company; you just want to be engineers! There is much more about this whole thing. I went to environmental meetings, technology safety reunions, trainings about people’s behavior and administration of time. That means our company worries about our life here. It’s not just coming here to work; it is about doing something that generates value to customers, society, environment and us.

engineering interns
-Arthur, this is beautiful but doesn’t work. Or you do your work perfectly, or other will do it. Also, who cares about the environment is the environment manager. We care about machines.

Don’t ask me why a variety of people don’t care about anything, only with their noses. I’m the one of first ones to convict education system for this. If parents said to their sons on youth that everything is connected, that you cannot do everything you want without consequences, that every single person is responsible for a part of making this world better, maybe we wouldn’t be destroying everything like plagues, maybe there wouldn’t be problems with lack of water, ozone consumption, global heating and animal’s extinction.

So tell me guys, what do you think about this?

** Before anything else, a warm WELCOME BACK TO TPR, Arthur!! **

[back to topic]
Such a pity that most people think that way, always about themselves before others. And you wonder why the world is so messed up.. In any case, we are all driven by outdated instincts anyway, so in a sense, I do understand why people behave the way they do. But in this modern time, we have to all work together to survive; crab mentality is going to bring an end to us all..

I like the way you rebut against what they keep telling you, I can tell you can actually see the bigger picture. With that in mind, I have no doubt that you'll do well in the future.

This is somewhat embarrassing to admit but... i might be one of those people you're talking about :| emoticon
ironically, i'm studying to become a dentist, someone who serves the community and has an obligation to provide optimal care and place others before oneself.
I suppose it all comes down to passion - how much love you have for something. dont get me wrong, i want to do my best and all, but sometimes things just seem too complicated. looking after #1 is hard enough as it is...
perhaps the engineering interns have this same outlook to life...

Sad but true, most people will look for the easy way of things without caring about what wrong would it do to themselves or the environment, like the use of machines that release smoke and weakens the ozone, among others.

I don't think there will be an end to this loop. There will always be people that won't care about anything and destroy, and others who do care and try to protect. There's not much one can do but to pick a side, and hope that it will be for the best of what you believe in.

Hello, I'm back. I thought this group died due to the dead threads so I didn't look at it for a while..

Anyway, I don't understand why they want you to study engineering or something? o_O I mean people have different wants. It's not always the same with everyone. I really hated the last thing the engineering guys said. People weren't made to concentrate on just one thing. O_O That's like being a robot designed just for cleaning and nothing else. As engineers they should also have a concern for the environment because their job is not only to make machines but to make machines for the good of everyone. If the machines they made destroyed the environment then they aren't doing their jobs right since humans need nature to survive. T__T I hate ignorant people like that. Tsk. I liked how you answered them :D Very clever. You'll be way more successful than those idiots. T_T
