I'm a seme, a SEME, not an uke!Just had to say that for no reason at all ^^ I think I might be going crazy here >.<

Got to show my support for an otherwise offensive topic from what I observe of other people around me. I feel they're kinda closed minded about a subject like this.. otherwise they'll change the topic.. anyhow.. I love to chatter on tangents..
Intro.
Got into yaoi when I was about 12 or 13 with Hiei/Kurama... (I'm 21 now, so its been a while) and from there on got heavily into fandom pairings with fanfictions... such as Duo/Heero (Didn't like watching the series tho)... then random fandoms where the pairings seemed weird, but was written quite well. Currently VERY into Harry Potter fandom.... with Draco/Harry as a #1 pairing... secondary is Oliver/Percy on occasions.... sometimes Neville/Blaise.
Anime tho..
VERY into Naruto/Sausuke, Yuki/Shuichi, Gon/Killua, Sora/Riku, Kakashi/Iruka... yup.. that's all I can think of for now.
I kinda turn into a squealing rabid fangirl with stars in the eyes when I get into talking about certain fandoms.. hmm.. can't say I have a favorite Yaoi series.. because I don't reallly think that there's many yaoi or shonen-ai series out there on anime. I can try and say there's more manga.. but not that much translated commercially into English.
I base couples on the Uke pairing... like Naruto, Gon, Kurama, Duo, Shuichi, Sora, Iruka... people I precieve are more feminine.
Harry and Draco are a special case. I can't seem to find a pairing for them.. but I do like it when Draco is the Uke. I don't mind knowing that Harry is the Uke as well.. hmm..

My fav series is Haru wo daiteita and the lovely Katou x Iwaki pairing :)
Fav yaoi mangakas: Youka Nitta, Ayane Yamano and Tori Maia. Only if Kazuya Minekura does yaoi ..
Some other fav series/pairings: Muraki/Tatsumi x Tsuzuki (Yami no matsuei), anything Tori Maia esp Hoshi no Yakata, Kazama x Jouchi (Boku no Koe - Youka Nitta), Naoe x Takaya (Mirage of blaze) and lastly but not least Asami x Takaba (Viewfinder) ^^
Generally like yaoi where the guys do look like guys (no girly guys for me), like a bit of tension in the story and anything with bdsm is always welcome :) Also prefer my guys to be a bit older or at least do look over 21 - no skimpy kid claiming 18.
Utmost disliking: shota. Plus - weird things like fur, tail, animals, super macho guys, tentacle, demon, skinny ukes v. huge seme, young ukes, too much fluid, girly ukes (tori maia is an exception) - anything else but 'normal' guys in 'normal life' stuff.

Not all Tori Maia's ukes are girly ... I'll even said that the most of girly guys in tori maia's books are semes ... for exemple in Sadistic boy or enven in Hoshi no Yakata ...

Oh yes, the tentacle scene in Crimson Spell was actually quite enjoyable. I don't mind shota, furry, etc. so long as it's not overdone. I agree with cactusjack that I generally prefer my guys to look like guys. Girlish ukes or semes just aren't to my taste, which is probably why I don't enjoy Tori Maia's work as much as other people *cough* Keishar *cough*. Strangely, most of her semes are the girlish-looking ones. No idea why ^^;;
Shira: I don't think Hisoka looks girlish, but he is very cute.
Animemiz49: Haha, I prefer Draco as the uke as well, though I'm actually a fan of DHr (Draco/Hermione). Naruto is so bottom, though XD

Yeah took a while to get used to her 'chicks-with-d*cks' style of drawings, but seriously, who could resist Tori Maia's bishie torture .. oh gosh .. *nosebleeds*
AM SOOO CUT, still havent seen Mirage of Blaze ova yet with naoe finally makes his move on takaya though I have seen that 'interesting' bit :) Gotta love it when men get overpowered into submission by other men ..
