Daily Randomness
Hm...I want to say something about Ouran, but I guess I should move it to the Ouran thread?

That's what's so annoying now I guess, instead of just posting random thoughts in one messy group (like the old AP version) we have to be tidy in these one, so it's not so fun.
But Cris, being tidy is nice especially with forums, i hate BT forums that are messy, so difficult to find stuff you want...anyway, yay i'm back to AP...but then I discovered that since i had been away for so long, i am now only members of all my groups XD oh well...i wasn't a very good moderator...

I'm talking about the group posts, not the forum ones.

..xD this group is a bit death-- it was much fun before =P

The actual active members watching the groups in AP are but a handful, that's why I think there's no point in making it look like a forum. Even though it's more convenient for downloads and stuff, that's what the yahoo group was for.
One advantage of making it "like a mess" is, if someone wants the ocassional links, pics and stuff (that otherwise can find in the yahoo group), they have to be quite active. Also, all new posts can be seen right away when you entered the group, so it was always renewing itself with wacky.
Anywho that's a great downfall for the AP groups, because they could get very fun.

Hm, i guess that depends on the group itself too. our group is out of the main stream so we can't really make it forum style...(imagine putting all our conversations in the main forum, that will be scary) getting messy and stuff is no big deal, since if you're active you know where to find things...oh well, i don't care either way. when school starts people may come by even less ^^;;

That's exactly the thing, no one bothers to actually participate, because they know from where to leech, and then just go away. If they had to actually look at all the posts, they would eventually find themselves posting some fun stuff or comment.
Yeah either way the groups i'm in are pretty much frozen anyway.

hehe so it's a global problem :P
but you are right...our group is pretty frozen if not almost dead >.< but what can we do to unfreeze it...? Even if we start posting whatever what...it will be like always...for 2 days people will posting and then will be the same again...so many user but no one want to be the part of the group...:(
Being pretty active online with a number of different groups (not this one sorry to say), here is my take on the situation...
Any forum, board, whatever is only going to have high traffic if it has content that people have time to deal with or better yet feel like they have to take time for. We are all really busy, right? I personally am getting married, contemplating an immediate move due to my fiance's new job possiblities, and working over-time three days a week or so. I've got work, errands, and all sorts of time. The internet is one of my three major hobbies. I read, watch anime, and chat at people online depending on my mood and energy level. I must spend several hours every evening checking this and that website; however, I only chat if something pulls at me. For example, I felt like I should pipe up about this situation. The major reason that people don't speak in a forum is because they are busy. You have to have a topic that has some imperative for them in order to get them to talk. As fun as this all is, it isn't necessary that I take the time to say that so and so if my favorite or that I love such and such's work. I can just drop in, read everyone else's opinions as useful information, and move on. If there aren't any new posts, I don't even need to stay more than a minute or two. You have to consider that their was more participation in this particular group when people were discussing their personal problems and situations. People are more driven to participate when they feel that can provide helpful advice or vent their own troubles. The best thing you can do to get people involved is discuss troubling issues. People will want to know about the situation and they will want to express their own opinions. You can go anywhere to hear someone's opinion of an anime, but when you hear it you either one won't agree or two won't feel like their opinion is educated. Once this group went from discussing personal opinions to discussing animes, the participation feel off a bit. You can think about it this way. Do you trust the opinions of someone you don't know? Probably not... do you feel the need to respond ... probably not...
That is enough yammering from me. I hope I made sense...

Ahaha wolfco you're getting married?! congradulation!!
actually, if the post in the groups actually counts for papers, i think i'll participate way more in any group that i'm in (and I must say, this group I visit way more often than any other ones). but then nobody will use the main forum if that happens ^^;;

*throws confetti at wolfco* CONGRATULATIONS!! let's sing karaoke!! XD
Lol I agree with your long-ass eye-hurting post XD, I just stay three minutes or most at AP (now even less, 15 secs, my hand just point and click automatically), because no one is gonna read all the posts (I never do unless I'm interested in the topic or opinions). In short -at least in yaoiworld- the posts were unpredictable and fun and sometimes you could enter and half the posts were laughing their asses off, the only way to know what's happening was going back and check. Most of the time I -like to believe- people broke into a smile and wanted to post too.
ahahahah i'm the only one yammering like crazy about it XD maybe to keep a topic alive I don't know
here's another topic: "Boku no Pico", a loli shota-con new OVA, you can get it in aarinfantasy (looks quite hentai) I don't know about story, just that it's a girly boy full of curves and a man with (apparently) a taste for... girly boys XD

Oohhh, I like the title of that, though I'm not a big loli-shota fan (I think Honey-sempai is cute, but I won't fall for him ^^)...will check it out when I have time.
Sounds cool...*go on aarin and start downloading*
hm...it's raw hehe...so it's gonna be fun watching it...my knowladge of japanese is on a very low low level (i can barely introduce myself) :P...
all in all thanks Cris for news...i'm gonna watch it as soon as possible :]
----------------------------------------------------------
hm...i've just watched it...it's very hentai-like...and that girly boy was really girly hehe...i think that he looks much more better as a boy after he cut his hair then before...i'm not keen on girly boys..not like that :P
but i must admit that pico is a very obedient boy...
well and the knowladge of japanese while watching this anime is really unnecessary...most part of it is "oh ah nn" part XD
