Post Your Car or dream car
I, admittedly, like the CTS-V. They basically took their smallest car in their lineup and shoved the C5 Corvette Z06 motor in there. The suspension is a bit soft (especially in the rear), but it makes for a fun ride if you want a luxury car but at the same time have a heavy right foot. :P
Hehehe, the prob with cadilac is not their gas guzzling nature, but its refinement.
as i recalled while got the chance sitting on it, the engine is neither smooth running nor smooth sounding
It got that weird whine when revved and exhaust tune is roaring away everything else.
The engine was not very eager to spin as well, i'm sure lots of things were changed from the conversion.
it was perfect for a sports car like the vettes, but it doesnt live up to cadillac's upmarket image.
its more like a WWF wrestler in suit and tie outfit. no matter how you look at it, contradiction is everywhere your head turns.

Well, the V-series vehicles aren't really about refinement - basically the team designing these things at Cadillac said "Hey, let's put an enormous motor in our lightest car, do some minor chassis tweaks, put in a manual gearbox, and market it as a luxury musclecar."
As far as the motor goes, the ones used in the CTS-V (either the 5.7 or the new 6.0) are both OHV designs - lazy, slow to rev, with diminutive top-end power and a ton of torque, but look at it this way: what other luxury vehicle also gives you 400+ horsepower as well as a manual gearbox at anywhere near the price? The only cars I could think of that'd even come close would the BMW 335i and the Audi S4, and while they're probably a bit sweeter in the turns with more refined, OHC engines, the V has more straight-line, in your face power, and that's what the V series is all about.

Well I don't know what the price of a Cadillac CTS-V is or the price of a BMW M5, but next year BMW will bring a manual version of the M5 on the North-American market and the M5 has 5L V10 with 507 horsepower.
Don't know the acceleration times of both cars either, but they both have nearly the same amount of torque, 390 for the CTS-V and 383 for the M5.
The only problem with fast BMWs is that they're speed is always electronically limited, so in a very long straight line race the CTS-V would eventually still win (unless you remove the electronic limiter of the BMW).

The M5 is nearly 40% higher MSRP than the CTS-V. :P
Mr. Bush's Cadillac is the best... It's not good looking, but super-effective...
JapanAnime - Any Cadillac, but I used to like the CTS and the XLR...my family doesn't like Cadillac either because it looks ugly to them.
So far, I found out the Saab(I like) and Cadillac(I used to like) are not liked by my family other than me...

The only good cadillacs in my opinion are the ones made in 1980s and early 90s they are big, comfy and luxurious.
the design are quite timeless as well...
but nowaday's cadillacs looks bit iffy... honestly... i couldn't care less bout american cars performances.
Saab... made great cars, they did it long time ago, and still today...
a great car, which is underated, and have unique apeal, so unique, most people dont like them
IMHO, almost all saab are great cars, i loves especially the 900 ( 1980 something ) and the most recent 9-3
too bad my parents dont like em too
in the end, i'm getting a honda ( nothing can go wrong with honda )

Kuman--- I love the 9-3! It's my favourite out of the Saab family, plus the car looks very professional ^_^
The best SAAB is probably the Viggen.. or Gripen...
SAAB Aero-X (or whatever it is) looks really cool..

Viggen and Gripen?? I never heard of those names before...it probably never came out in Canada, I think.
My dream car would be a HSV VE Clubsport R8 it has a LS2 6.0 V8 with 6 speed manual transmission if nobody knows what this car is you can see it here [url=http://www.caradvice.com.au/757/hsv-clubsport-r8-e-series[/url] or a Camaro Concept :D
presinisterViggen and Gripen?? I never heard of those names before...it probably never came out in Canada, I think.
There was a Viggen (Gripen doesn't excist, nice name though =P) version of the previous Saab 9-3, which was the absolute top model of the 9-3 range (even faster then the the Aero version).
Well the 9-3 Viggen was also available on the North American market, so it was available in Canada as well.
Here's a pic of a Saab 9-3 Viggen in front of a Viggen jet fighter.

O!! Thanks for the info and pic, JapanAnime!! The car looks old but faster than the 9-3 Aero, amazing...It's just a shame I have never seen it around my area... *cries* :P Wait, is the 9-3 Vigen as faster, as fast, or slower than the 9-3 jet fighter?? It's because I saw another commercial about Saab and the car was faster than the Canadian forces jet fighters.... >_<
There's no Saab which is faster than a jet fighter, I think you've mistaken the Audi R10 TDI (Le Mans racer with a diesel engine!) for a Saab.
The Audi R10 TDI did a one kilometer race against a Harrier (British) jet fighter and the car almost won it too.
Here's a nice article of the race and the car and some photos of the race as well:
