That's no Dodge Challenger ~GoldenApe, it's the Plymouth Hemi Cuda (my favorite and IMO the most 'sick' mucle car).
And the second car is indeed a Mitsubishi Eclipse, based on this screenshot:
And drag racing is back indeed! Just look at the starting lights (no strange looking computer girls I guess =P) and the long straight track.

Ah! You're totally right, JA! I already thought it was a bit odd they took a Challenger (which does look pretty much the same, seen from the front)... Especially because Pro Street has that custom shaping thing again, it's hard to recognize the cars sometimes (also see the confusion about the Eclipse).
Anyway, the Hemi Cuda is cool too. No wait, it's way cooler than a Challenger.

PS is beginning to sound more and more disappointing... no free roam... no cops... and some stuff like that. But i am not passing any statement as of now.
But... bah! I am hoping to hear some good news in the near future about the game now... *prays*

I guess you're right about that, since EA announced this in it's news section:
"This is a game about building the ultimate performance-tuned battle machine, taking it to multi-disciplinary showdowns all over the world and pitting your skills and reputation against the very best street racers."
I guess this means that races will be held in various continents like Asia, America (the drag race in the dessert for instance) and Europe. Maybe that's why they can't include free roam, simply because the environment is not a big city anymore.
BTW did anyone noticed the two different rims of that Mazda RX7 (second screenshot in my previous post)?...How ugly!

There's much more to this. There are around 30+ cars(<--Speculated). And another 8+ or something supercars!! The official car list is expected soon. But most think it'll be out sometime in July end or August....
ALSO, there is gonna be a new online feature which will allow people to submit their 'blueprints' of the mods they've done to the car online!! And show it off!! Other people could also directly download that BP and apply it onto their cars!! There'll obviously be a rating thing in that! :D

BTW I don't think the Aston Martin DBR9 will be in the game, more likely the DBRS9. The DBR9 is a 100% GT1 race car (which is competing in the Le Mans series as well) and is not suitable for the road, while DBRS9 is the road version of the DBR9...thus
I hope they will bring back the Chevrolet Camaro Concept and make it customizable.

But seeing that there is no free roam and only track racing. And that too, all pro race tracks. I can imagine a LM car in the game. A lot of people are expecting even the McLaren F1 LM! There have been requests of the Merc CLK-GTR aswell but i doubt that ride is gonna come in..... >_>

I really hope to see that Escort Cosworth RS happening. Interesting cars in that list, but I don't think they include them all (plus the others not on this list)... Especially since some cars are pretty different from each other (Cosworth vs Corvette Z06?)
If they include the McLaren F1 LM in the game, then they will probably include Mercedes CLK-GTR as well. Those two cars we're the fastest (next to the McLaren F1) in Hot Pursuit 2, so I guess they would give the McLaren F1 LM (if it's in the game) some competition in the form of the CLK-GTR.
I'm also praying for the Volkswagen Iroc Concept (most likely to be the next Volkswagen Scirocco). That would be a great tuner if you ask me.
But the same thing already happened in Carbon, no? In those "protect your territory" races you could end up with a Mazda 3 MPS competing against a Corvette ZO6, Dodge Challenger Concept, etc. Though the result was already decided before the race even started. LOL

That pic looks fake as hell indeed, EA would never publish a screenshot with such a foggy background. But why considering if the Supra will be present in the game or not? Since NFS Underground the Supra has always been in every NFS that followed. This probably means that EA has a continuous license from Toyota, so I'm 100% sure the Supra will be in Pro Street again.
BTW I don't know if anyone of you has seen this, but here's a short video where they show you how the engine sounds are recorded. I guess this video also prooves that the Dodge Charger SRT8 and the Dodge Viper SRT10 are in the game (why else would they record their sounds? LOL).
