All who pass the State Alchemist Exams will be promoted to Major.
All others start as Sergeant.
So step by step
First Step:
Choose whether you want to take the State Alchemist Exam or not.
If you want to take it ----> go there!
Next Step:
"Nahh I'd rather start as Sergeant!" That's fine with me. You'll get your sig!
"Yeay! I passed!" Good job! You'll get your sig!

More easier to get a promotion
How will we be judged for a starting rank? or are we all going to start as sergeant?
All start as Sergeant until you took and passed the Alchemist exams.
Once passed you'll be promoted to State Alchemist ( Major)
Once passed you'll be promoted to State Alchemist ( Major)

Interesting...is there any system regarding the exchanging of monetary notes and/or properties of interest in order to hasten the process by which one advances through the hierarchy presented?
