It was a warm spring day. Koharu and the other alchemists that passed the past two test stood in the middle of the last training ground, in front of a area filled with any elements. A small river flew there, a small forest and mountains, even a glacier could be seen.

The assayers stated that they could use all of this to transmute anything they want.

"Anything?" "But.." " What is expected?" the alchemist started to ask, but only gained a smile "Do what you want!"

A young man took a deep breath and went forwards the trees, drawed a transmutation circle and layed some trees and various other minerals as well as a rock in it.

The typical blue thunder could be seen as he started with his transmutation. Suddenly there was a bright light and then an explosion.
Everthing catched fire, trees, clothes anything.

The Alchemist looked shocked into the mans direction but couldn't see anything but smoke.

Koharu pushed them away and ran forward. She was in the near of the burning trees as she kneeled down and put both hands on the ground.

The temperature fell. Everything that burned a second ago was now covered with a thin layer of ice. The whole training round was covered with ice, too.

"Watch out!" the yell came out of nowhere and Koharu turned round to see a tree falling down. Right on her!

The Alchemists only saw the sparkling dust of ice crystals in the sun, as the tree crashed on the ground.

Then, as the dust began to fade, they could see a small, thin shadow.
Koharu stood unharmed in the middle of two halfes of the tree, holding a ice sword in her hands.

"Great, Great!" The assayers clapped.
"Would you please tell us your name, Ice sword Alchemist?"
The young woman stunned " Ice sword?"
"Well don't you think that name matches you?"
"Oh... I'm Kobayashi Koharu!"

It happened on a cold day, after the begining of the autumn. Me, and those, who've survived the exam until now, have gathered at a vast place. There were various things before us, water, trees, ice, it looked nice.

Then, we were told, that we can do, whatever we want with those things on the ground. None of us expected this, so we were a bit surprised, a young woman even asked an assayer.
-But that's so vague... What are we supposed to create?

-Anything, really. If you have talent for it, you won't fail. -he said.

Hearing that, the boldest guy (or just didn't think about it) stepped forward, gathered a few materials together, and drawed a transmutation circle. I had no idea, what did he want to do with a lot of trees, a small amount of ground and stone, but he still looked confident (maybe he wanted to create a golem).

The lights of the process showed, that he started to work. An interesting tower started to grow up from the ground like some kind of monument. At the same time, the same girl, who seemed confused before begun her own transmutation, probably after she made up her mind about it. But then, something happened.

Somehow the two candidant's transmutation process reacted with each other, and the guy's monument blew up, and began to fly (he made the first missile of the military, but that didn't count then...). It flew for a few sec, but soon crashed into the ground next to the woman. I saw, that it'll tilt the trees like a bowling ball, and tried to pull her away, but I knew, it won't work.

I wasn't sure, if I can do it fast enough, but I drawed a circle and tried to transmute those trees to something else. It didn't work, but instead, suddenly flames erupted from me, and burned the trees without a trace. Everybody was shocked, because we had a really close call, and ran to us, asking we're all right. Then, an assayer came to me.

Just write a story, think of it as a RPG

Today is the day of my examination. it is to be held at the open training facility at Central HQ.
i had decided to ware something casual since this was the physical exam i didn't want any of my nice clothes to be ruined. I put on my hand-me-down jeans from the orphanage. they were boy jeans and a size to big, but allowed mobility, so i belted them up, and ed my favorite green skin tight tank top, and my combat boots. i french-braided my long brown hair so it wouldn't be in the way and as i walked out of my hotel room i picked up my bladed discus.
As i walked into the center of the field i felt a small breeze. 'good, that makes things easier.' i thought.
A tall man with black hair, a military uniform and a clip board asked me my name. "Megan." i said.
"and your age?" he asked.
"18, sir." i replied. he wrote that down also.
"umm, sir?" he looked up from his notes.
"yes?"
"where are the other three who took the test with me?" there were 3 boys who took the written test with me yesterday.
"we're doing separate exams this year." he said and returned to his notes. "Alright. for the test today you will be tested on your reaction time, speed, and skill. depending on your performance will determine weather or not you pass. understand?"
"yes sir."
he backed away from the center and went to stand with the rest of the judges on the edge of the field. he lifted his hand and shouted "begin!"
there was silence for a while, until i heard a rustling behind me, i turned and was shocked at what was behind me. A chimera. it had the head of a lion, with paws the size of my head, the body was of a horse in size, but the hind legs were sharp hawk tallons. it growled at me and i turned to face it.
it attacked first, leaping into the air with incredible speed and height. i quickly moved my hands in front of me, just as i had memorized and a huge gust of wind through the creature across the field. as it was recovering i grabbed the bladed discus from my hip and uncoiled the chain that was connected to it. for a moment i closed my eyes assessing which direction the small breeze was flowing in. West.
i opened my eyes and saw the creature speeding at me, i again moved my hand, and drew a circle with various symbols in the air, summoning another gust of wind. this time the air encircled me lifting me up, and i flowed with it, releasing my discus, still attached to the chain. it swirled around me as i lost my self in the wind. normally i used this on multiple opponents but for show of ability in this crowd, i figured might as well finish with a bang.
the discus sliced off the head of the raging beast as it raced toward me.
game over. that was to easy. i let the wind carry me back to the ground, and i gracefully touched down. as soon as my foot touched the ground, the wind stopped immediately. i looked around at the judges. their hair was messed up from my wind and their faces were shocked.
one of them asked me how i transmuted the wind to my will.
i said that it was my secret. I'm sure that every one has a few in the military. *wink*


OKAY THAT WAS MY EXAM! hehehe my hands hurt from typing... and im hungry lol

Hey Koharu I want to use my fav element (ice element).Is it okay?Coz you use the ice element...

It was dark cloudy day, the other alchemists were itching to show their skills to the judges. I was just waiting patiently, quiet as I always were with my eyes closed and the wind blowing the black scarf around my neck which also covered half of my face.

As the judges gave the signal to begin, the other alchemists began their transmutation which were quite surprising but were not stable and failed occasionally.

"You, the one in the corner" said one of the judges as I looked at him. "It's your turn" he said.

I walked towards the ice area, it was beautiful, there were this huge pillars made of ice and that was the place I though my skills were good to be displayed.

I walked towards 4 ice pillars that were next to each other.

Immediately I extended my arms which were covered with black leather gloves and had a blue transmutation symbol in the center, after that I clapped my hands together and placed them in the ground.

The ground began to crumble and shake as electricity burst from my hands. A huge cracking noise was heard as the judges noticed the four ice pillars floating in the air.

I had my hands extended forward in order to keep them held up, after that I clapped my hands once more and 4 pillars were instantly crushed to pieces by a thunder, the huge chunks of ice were falling straight to the audience and were starting to panic, but then I clapped a second time and the chunks of ice were pulverized and turned to snow flakes.

The audience were impressed to see snow falling at them, the judges were starting to get cold as the temperature dropped dramatically .

I stared at the audience and then at the judges to see if everybody was ok, which they were aside from getting cold.

After that I walked away out of the exam area.
