A Miwa Oshima book! http://www.akadot.com/product_info.php?products_id=28825&cPath=27_2 :D I'm willing to buy almost anything if it has a Saiunkoku image in it, but just looking at the book (and description) makes me suspicious. >_> I'm thinking there will be lots of rough sketches and possibly Very Few images of Saiunkoku. Or (even worse) they are going to be images that area already in the anime guide. x_x

I really want to get the Miyuu Art Works - Chrome Shell Regios book too. If anyone buys that one be sure to post photos! :D

Actually the Miwa Oshima book has lots of Saiunkoku illustrations. It has DVD covers plus illustrations in the scroll book. Has some other stuff too. Saiunkoku took up a big portion though. I'll take some pics for you later.

The Miyuu book is nice too. Nat has it too. I'll take pics of it when I do the Miwa Oshima one.

New and upcoming stuff!

Misakura Nankotsu actually has two art books coming out on the same day, LAST RESORT and 少女プラネタリウム (Girl Planetarium). I would love to know how "adult" the LAST RESORT book is though, because often times there will be some adult images, but not all. It would be annoying to miss it especially if both have completely different art work ~_~ Amusingly, I'd say the LAST RESORT cover is tamer than Girl Planetarium XD

Tamiki Wakaki Presents Kami nomi zo Shiru Sekai POSTERS comes out July 15th, and is poster art book collection. It looks like there will be a total of 19 poster sheets and I *assume* they will all be double sided. If not, that's not very good value for money ;P It's listed as 56 pages total, so it's probably double sided with info, interviews and indexes. But I don't know for sure! It's B4 sized too, btw.

This month's Newtype (8/2009) will include a Nanoha and Fate towel, in case you buy for the extras. ***Completely wrong on this one! Apparently the towel is a mail-away offer. This issue does come with a figure of the new girl, Mari from Evangelion.

Kuuchuu Yosai Illustrations looks like it will *finally* be coming out in August after being initially listed in December of last year.

Sora Kake Girl Girl's Collection comes out 7/23. It's a collection of pin-up illustrations from the show, and it's A4 size and 80 pages. Check out the AP gallery to see if it's your thing. Most of the illustrations are already in there, just with text :3

Naruto Illustrations came out on July 2, 2009. It's good, but it's nothing new aside from the cover art and a double sided poster at the front.

Sacred Blaze Visual Collection (セイクリッドブレイズ ビジュアルコレクション) came out on July 1st, 2009. Relevant if you like the games of course. The cover art work is by Iizuka Takeshi (aka Kuroboshi Kohaku of Kino no Tabi fame) which might also be relevant :3 From the AJ page it sounds like it is more art focused than the usual game art book, including promotional art work from CDs and posters, character illustrations story backgrounds, and so on.

Shou Tajima is releasing (or is it really re-releasing...) the art book BABY☆STARDUST+. It's listed on Amazon as 20 pages, so I'm assuming they're probably poster prints of the illustrations that were in BABY☆STARDUST plus a few more. Expect nudity. Comes out at the end of the month.

Queen's Blade Visual Book (already released) is surprisingly less like a visual book and more like an art book. It contains much of the promotional art done by a variety of artists that were featured in the Megami Creators and other magazines of the Queens Blade characters. But it's all official art work and 100 images.

WIZARD GIRL AMBITIOUS ビジュアルファンブック Visual Book comes out on 7/23. It's a visual book, so don't expect the focus to be illustrations. It'll have the illustrations, character pages, probably settings, voice actors and interviews as these books do. But the artist is Ryohka and the art is great, so that might motivate some people :3

Shining Force Feather Visual Materials. I love Shining Force games :) Anyhow, this collection is extra nice because the art work is all done by Pako and Ito Noizi. As it is a visual materials collection you should expect illustrations along with interviews, backgrounds, and character design pages, but from previews I've seen, even the character pages are well done.

Asuko Nishida Illustrations -JAM- (already released) is a an excellent collection of the artist's work from shows like Simoun, Vampire Knight, Seven of Seven, Mōryō no Hako and one-shots from a lot of others. It's all anime style illustrations, and very diverse.

Tecmo Pachinko Slots ~ RIO de Channel Super Deluxe is already out, it's all illustrations of the popular pachinko slot character Rio and other girls from the games illustrated by Koutaro.

Also out is Ko~cha Illustrations. This artist does the art work for the game/ series (or was it OVA?) Happiness, so if you like that style you'll like this book.

Ito Noizi Illustrations 3 (since the AP filter won't let me write I I I) is coming out next month, August 10th. I'll probably buy and sell this one like I did the other two, but it's still something I'll want to see for myself though there will no doubt be a million scans of it ;P

The Ko~cha Illustrations book seems very nice, another item to add my my amazon wishlist too :)

Code Geass Archives in Animage is a exactly what it sounds like, all the Animage Magazine features on Code Geass all in one book ~_~ So yeah, it's image spreads, but it's the same stuff you've already seen along with the VA interviews and so on.

The Battle Heroes book says it compiles the 129 loading screen illustrations in the book. I think from a blog entry (Japanese though ~_~) they're split up 4 to a page. But it also makes mention of new illustrations in the beginning of the book by the cover artist.

And lol, it must be good cause Akadot is selling a book that retails for 1680 yen for $49.

Ugh @ Code Geass Archives in Animage. Sounds like a blatent way to try to rake in some more yen. :\

And *sob* @ Battle Heroes. New images would be fun but if they split them up 4 to a page there is NO WAY I am getting it. The book is already on the small side, and with 4 images a page I can probably get better image quality from a screenshot. >_<

I ordered these from Mandrake. All Tony's stuff. I just realized that one of them is only 28 pages and cost me $40. I'm hoping the one that cost $50 has more pages than that :)

The artist for Pandora Hearts has an art book coming out September 26 called Jun Mochizuki Illustrations [Pandora Hearts] ~Odds and Ends~.

Oh, must get! I saw 蒼炎―いとうのいぢ画集3 while I was browsing through aj and ordered it along with her second artbook and the rest of the stuff sitting in my cart.

Oh wow, book GET! XD Seriously I L-O-V-E how she both draws and colors. What's her "second artbook" though that Saa-chan mentioned?

And if anyone is curious I found some previews of the Basara book I asked about earlier. After seeing these I don't know that I'm very inspired to get it. Most of the offical art I've seen is so stylized and had such a strong feeling to the fight scenes but I see none of that in the artbook. >_>

The round-up! Here's stuff that's come out and is coming out since my last list. I was looking at Comiket stuff most of August, so forgive the lateness ^^;

Headphones Girls: A Pictorial Book - I'm sure you've all seen the scans from it by now, so you know if it's something you'd want. Includes 8 posters (4 double sided sheets). Best headphone collection so far IMO. Already released.

Murakami Suigun Works Lily White - This book gets released August 27, and is categorized under adult, so that means Amazon JP doesn't ship it out and you'll have to find an alternative. I don't know how adult it is, and all things considered, the artist does great work so it just might be worth it anyway ^^

Masamune Shirow - A new book from Masamune Shirow, with some new and some old pictures, but all of them are gorgeous. This book is also larger than the average sized art book in height, but it's thin, clocking in at just 64 pages.

Blue - Yusuke Nakamura Illustrations - Most of us know this artist as the one who did the covers for Asian Kung-fu Generation :3 Gorgeous collection, super thick and more than 200 pages. The book is small sized, and slightly larger than a CD case.

Pixiv Yearbook Official Book - Another huge collection of Pixiv art work in print. More than 200 pages.

Gensomaden Saiyuki Reload Illustrations - This is another one of those poster collections, with 24 sheets and 4 new drawings for this release. The art work is all by Kazuya Minekura. B4 in size.

Jun Mochizuki Illustrations [PandoraHearts] ~odds and ends~ I mentioned this earlier but in case you missed it, a Pandora Hearts illustration collection is coming out next month, September 26. Exciting :3

Push Illustration Works Gallery - PUSH!! is releasing another collection of artists who have been featured in their magazine. Should be nice, though be forewarned some Push art work can be very much are the super ecchi side of things.

@`MyrrhLynn: Itou Noizi has 3 commercial artbooks out now. I just never got the first and second one... 'til now. Now I have 2 and 3.

There will be a CLAMP book out in october, called ALL ABOUT CLAMP.

Lastly, Kadokawa will release a new book called ALL ABOUT CLAMP. This will be the book version of the special magazines CLAMP Newtype that were first published in 2006.

The magazines carried information on all of CLAMP's works, from RG Veda to Kobato., among from other contents. The uncompilled portion of X known as volume 18.5, first released with CLAMP Newtype [PLATINUM], will also be included in the book.
